$500 million is a lot. I know the Seattle group was looking to pay less since they had to pay for arena as well. I wonder how the money works out.
Good for Seattle Going to be interesting too see what happens too the roster New ownership might want a fresh start and do a fire sale Get younger and cheaper suck for a little bit get high picks Example Oklahoma City Thunder
500 mil for the kings. Literally there is never risk being a sports team. Even if they are horribly mismanaged you will still make a profit. Look at the kings and dodgers.

From a Rockets perspective this could suck, because OKC might get relocated to the Southwest division. I guess the Grizzlies might move to the East? Would be great news for them, obviously.
i think more likely they just leave the kings in the pacific, and switch out portland and phoenix (blazers to pacific and suns to northwest)
Still play them 4 times a year more often than not, and with how the seeding works out there is no impact of having a team in your division as opposed to another division within the same conference.
either Memphis or New Orleans moves to the east I reckon, Memphis would be a beast in the Eastern conference, though I doubt they'll reconfigure the conferences, since travel and scheduling would not be much of a hassle for the Western Conference (NB the Northwest Division is messed upped geographically)
San Diego....That could work. Austin...Hell No. This city eats, pisses, and *****s burnt orange for a living... Pittsburgh...Don't know enough about the place.
Didn't New Orleans used to be in the East? I'd bet they'd move to the East before the Grizzlies. But really, they might as well keep the Kings in the Pacific. Same timezone and everything.
The wife and I went to Sonics game in Seattle to watch them play against the Rockets back 1991. Those were some loud and passionate fans. Even old ladies were giving us grief for wearing our Rockets gear in their Arena. The Arena was small but I liked the setup. You could take the Monorail and it would drop you off right at the Arena which had a small County Fair rides for the kids right beside the Arena. Seattle is a beautiful city. We also took in a Mariners game in the old Kingdome (which was a dump). We got to see in person Griffery Sr and Jr play on the same team that night.
OKC did take all of Seattles rights and everything else with it when the team was purchased, but im sure Bennet will give it back to try to get rid of some of that quiet guilt he has.
