I am glad where they went with this model I despised the E60 model. I have an modified E39 myself and I haven't found a reason to buy a new one until this one hit the market. My good friend just traded in his car and picked this baby up and it is a beautiful machine inside and out. Only thing I personally do not like is the gill on the sides. Just looks cheap. I know there will be some aftermarket replacements for it that will probably matte it out.
Honestly I whisper " I love you" to every F10/11 I see. It's pretty pathetic but whatever. I think I just might fap to this M5 vid. :grin:

Have you owned either of these cars? I have and prefer OVERWHELMINGLY the Merc. Not some C series like the 3 series every wanna be yuppy pays a lease on, but an M3 and now bought the wife a CLS 550 after test driving many Beamers, which I had to beg her to do. The 500 and 700 series are now just pure boredom and an eye soar. This is the first I've seen of the new generation, but I' take the E63 anyday and EVERYDAY over anything BMW. This is just MY opinion of course, but I gotta admit this M5 is sexy as hell and sounds freakin' nice.
I test drove all the cars you mentioned above, as well as the Audi S5, and I have to agree. I ultimately settled on the S5 because I got an absolute steal on the price, but I have to say I really enjoyed driving the Mercedes. I love, love, love the S5, but I still think about that CLS from time to time. With that being said, this M5 looks delicious.
I'm not sure why you "despised" the E60. At least that car has a sports suspension with hydraulic steering. Isn't that the whole point of driving one of these machines. I CAN'T STAND THE F10 and the F30 because of the soft suspension and electrical steering. In fact, even the 335 x-drive that is supposed to have hydraulics doesn't come close to what the E has to offer. I had an F30 (modern) loaner for 11 days and I can't tell you how happy I was to get back into my e92.
I guess I should have been more clear. The reason I despised he E60 was because of the looks. I didn't think they did a good job with the E60 in general in regards to how it looked. I too am not a big fan of the electric steering and love to feel connected to the road a bit more than the average person I guess. My comments were geared towards the look of it.
