Lin has one gear it seems. It's something Jason Kidd talked about helping him with, when he thought he was going to mentor Lin on the Knicks -- helping him find a middle gear.

(INCLUDING TONIGHT'S 7 TURNOVERS) For all the IDIOTS complaining about Lin's turnovers. Guess who leads the league in turnovers? Russel Westbrook. Yup. Him. All-Star. Second? Jrue Holiday. And he's said to be having his best year yet. Third?? Harden!! Yes, OUR Harden. And he's playing like an MVP. You know who else is in front of Lin? Kobe! and Durant! MVP's! All have more turnovers than Lin, and aren't even PG's. I'd say turnovers are overrated. SO SHUT THE F*** UP ABOUT THEM!!!!

He can cut down his TO's pretty easily

Stop throwing those hail mary passes

I see what you are trying to say and I'm on the same side of the argument, but that is a pretty bad point. All those guys give you a lot more production and have teams more focused on them, forcing T.Os. You should always try to limit them because end of the game situations is where the veterans and champions truly shine.

Lin had a few more boneheaded plays than usual, especially in the 1st half but even in the 2nd half. But he picked it up in the 2nd half like he usually does (I have no idea why).

Jeremy Lin also gets a ton of steals, so that negates his TOs somewhat.

Those are ok. The not-ok TOs are the ones where he bumps into a defender and loses his dribble or makes a lazy pass at the top of the key.

Those are necessary to keep the opposing defense on its toes. It's like when a QB needs to throw a long bomb a few times in a game, just to scare the defense.

TO's, like assists, are based on the recipient's handle. It's not like Lin is getting stripped or dribbling off his foot. He's being aggressive on a fast-paced team. No PG can play like this and not have TO's. The Rockets lead the league in scoring, which means there's so much more opportunity for lost passes.

This. A couple of years ago under JVG ball I remember how much the Suns used to scare the living **** out of everyone here. It was literally impossible to beat them and when ever nash/marion/stoudamire would run those it would make your heart sink..:(

Lin is usually very good with those passes. I'd rather take chances at the risky pass and easy lay-up, than no pass and hard shot.

Yes, if those aggressive passes somehow turn out to be GREAT passes. Like what Morey has said, and my knowledge of the basketball tells me, those were good TO's.

This. The one he passed to MM in the 3rd Q is a lazy pass. Other then that, most of the rest are OK/Good TO's.

I think he is the type of player who gets a better feel for the game and how the opposition is playing him deeper in the game.

Lin was getting worked by Nash for most of the night - especially the 1st half - but he had a good 2nd half.
