I'm more perplexed that some of you are so quick to give up your rights. Knee jerk reactions are almost never well thought through...
wtf did I just watch.... "1776 ALL OVER AGAIN BIATCH!" This argument just got totally lost after that. Pretty funny and entertaining, but I seriously hope the wingers don't actually take jones seriously..
His whole argument about people protecting themselves from the government with guns was the dumbest thing I've ever heard. 200 yrs ago? Yea probably, but in an age with large scale bombs, tanks, aircrafts please don't use that as an excuse. Even a country with a piss poor military like Syria can show you how little guns will do in the face of a government.
Both of them are attention whores. The erosion of of our Constitutional rights is a serious issue, but Jones is not the person I want arguing on my behalf. Piers, on the other hand, has hit a goldmine with the gun control issue, and I expect him to milk it for all it's worth. Oh, I almost forgot, cable news, ha ha ha ha ha ha,
Sigh, AJ is merely a shill paid to make conspiracy theorists look like ill tempered maniacal idiots. Many CTers know this about him too and just take whatever he says as a grain of salt but unfortunately most don't realize the game. Anyone with some spare time should Google how Albert Pike talked about giving "the public their heroes." Jones and Jesse Ventura are among the heroes because if they were pure substance, they would have been eliminated years ago. Bill Cooper, a former US Navy officer, was almost pure substance and that's why he was killed only a couple weeks after 9/11.
irony. bigtexxx 07-22-2005 02:41 AM Good news on the extension. I'm willing to do my part for the war effort without complaining. Don't forget that the Patriot Act is voted on every couple of years, so it's not permanent.
I want to see this alex jones moron argue against stephen a smith or skip bayless. premiere television right there
What are your views on his conspiracy theories, particularly those regarding aliens and illuminati? I just googled him. His views make AleX Jones seem like a well-adjusted individual.
yo dawg, we heard you like consipracy theories so we put a consipracy theory in your conspiracy theory so you can tinfoil while you tinfoil.. Is this like inception, only real?
but yeah Alex Jones is a freaking moron.. If you want to laugh go to youtube and look up his Justin Bieber rant. one of the damn funniest things I've ever seen. But lord knows I hate that damn brit's guts. Pierce Morgan ruins television for me. I had to remove CNN from my cable's favorites list so that I don't hear his whiney a$$ voice by accident. If any semi-rational individual with a half functional brain was on the show instead of that Jones asshat, he would've owned Pierce's idiotic argument. Guns don't kill people, and neither do video games, removing god from our schools, "mental illness", or any of that crap people are spewing nowadays. A$$holes kill people, and especially the ones who grew up seeing the media glorify other a$$holes who committed such heinous crimes, especially the Columbine incident. When attention starved losers angry at the world lose hope, they figure "what the hell, might as well go out with a bang like those guys who shot up the high school in Colorado that everybody keeps talking about". It's simply a copy cat effect. And that's why we don't see this kind of senseless murder/suicides in countries with even looser gun laws (or non existent ones even). So instead of launching a crusade against testosteronic beer loving folks who like to show off their AR-15s when the cousins come to visit from out of town and do some neat re-load tricks with their Barrettas to entertain the kids at family gatherings, let's focus on stopping the idiocy of glorifying and giving ridiculous coverage to local news that shouldn't even make it to the national media outlets. Sooner or later the idiots will realize that it's not worth it shooting up a damn school for a one hour spot on the local news.
Bigtexxx, I have very extensive debating knowledge - I have taught and practiced debating at the highest level, and what Alex was doing is no form of debating I've ever seen. He went on tangents, attacked the character not the argument, tried to do everything he could to avoid addressing the point Piers was trying to convey, and, essentially just went on an illogical rant for the majority of it, not to mention he was completely disrespectful. I have to ask, do you support Jones? If so, I'd really like to know why or what your reasoning is.
Didn't the outcome of this interview already happen back in 1985? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/t5whaRkuipU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I thought this might be relevant to this thread as well... http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/...lice-fired-just-85-bullets-total-in-2011?lite German police fired just 85 bullets total in 2011 German police officers fired a total of 85 bullets in 2011, 49 of which were warning shots, the German publication Der Spiegel reported. Officers fired 36 times at people, killing six and injuring 15. This is a slight decline from 2010, when seven people were killed and 17 injured. Ninety-six shots were fired in 2010. Meanwhile, in the United States, The Atlantic reported that in April, 84 shots were fired at one murder suspect in Harlem, and another 90 at an unarmed man in Los Angeles. "Our police officers are no thugs in uniform," Lorenz Caffier, interior minister of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, said at a press conference Tuesday. "It is gratifying that the use of firearms by police officers against people is declining," Caffier added.
