**** this bull**** I have been watching every single Rockets game for the last 10 years, good times and bad. I don't have CSN. I refuse to be a pawn in some rich fat ****s money hoarding scheme. As a hardcore Rockets fan, I have been CRAVING the national TV broadcasts. Xmas day, the first game I watched this season (not including crap streams) was borderline orgasmic. This team is fun to watch. So obviously, I had tonight's game set to record. I arrive home at 7:15 to realize the game has been blacked out. My first reaction, utter disbelief, followed by extreme dizzying confusion, followed by a string of full volume curses, a violent pound on my desk (which dislodged some sort of plastic support piece. Finally, I navigated here to Clutchfans, because I just HAD to speak my mind. **** Comcast **** the other Cable providers who dont have CSN **** the Rockets bigwigs who are allowing this bull**** **** NBAtv **** ToyCens pricing/seating situation which results in fairweather rich ****s being sheepish courtside while the true fans scream from the rafters just so the players can hear a faint whisper of support. **** the blackout rules. **** David Stern. Go Rockets.
For a second I thought this thread was a kneejerk thread about the Rockets. Yeah it sucks I don't have Comcast and I don't plan to. Just go the the Where to watch Rockets thread, there is a great quality link for this game
dude call up whoever you have, in my case it was direct TV and then think to yourself if you really are a valued customer? My experience was that when I called, I felt they could care less, I called up comcast to see whats up, and what do you know, they wanted my business. got a hell of a deal too, i rarely need to call customer service anyways, so i took the gamble and made the switch. 1 year deal and after that i'll reassess the situation but missing the rockets in some kind of boycott or righteous cause just wasnt worth it to me anymore. Finally, after I set up the install I call up Direct TV and cancel service, THEN they want to work something out, it shouldnt take such a drastic measure as a cancellation for a provider to treat you with some decency. What are you gonna do? Portland hasnt worked out their deal up there in 5 years, you prepared to wait 5 years?
First of all, my apartment complex only allows certain cable providers (Comcast not included). You have a valid point. In this world, corrupt beyond repair, you have to either cut yourself off completely or join the sheep from time to time.
i am so damn pissed, anyone that supports comcast *****, we need to organize some time of rally or public website that will stop this crap, the teams success comes at our expense of watching our favorite team
that sucks, i didnt even think of NOT being able to get comcast. i figured it was a personal decision. i get the frustration, i was there, but in my case i said 'F' that, i wont budge. couldnt do it anymore. if it drags out, and i know this sounds far fetched and crazy, and it should never get to a point where your fandom should dictate where you reside, but if this thing drags out, maybe consider looking for a complex that does offer comcast. hope it works out sooner rather than later.
Comcast sucks. I had it for two weeks earlier this season and I couldn't stand how poor their quality is. Their receivers suck. Their programming sucks. I'd rather stick to ****ty internet streams than use Comcast's TV service. It's absolute garbage.
i have comcast and tried to watch the NBAtv broadcast so I could listen to the other commentators instead. ****ers blacked it out.
Comcast pissed me off initially but it forced me to get NBA League pass and I haven't missed 1 second of any game. Living in the RGV I thought theyde be blacked out but nope thank goodness for the Spurs being the local team here or Id also be blacked out on NBA League pass
