Might as well develop the future of the franchise.

Lillard has made clutch shots this season and has the confidence of his teammates/coaches. He has the poise/ice-cold blood in his veins for sure. But in general, I agree in theory that having your big that scores on 45+% of his post-ups and seems to have an "automatic" short jumper would seemingly be smarter than having your PG take a hero-shot at the end of close games. Or better yet run a frickin' play. It will come to bite them in the ass as the season progresses. Always smarter to run a play off screens but right now they're riding Lillard and his regressing 3p%. People always call it "clutch" and "cold-blooded" when it goes in; when he misses, it will be called "hero-ball."

B/c he's the best at creating his own shot? You always want a guy like that to take the last shot.

He's going to be the rookie of the year.

Let's just say we don't ever face them in the playoffs or heck even regular seasons game because Portland has the Rockets number kept and shut!!!! They ruined our opening night and took our lead when we were up ahead of them in the 2nd game.. So yeah, Portland has our number...

BTW I live in Portland. They are actually my favorite team next to Houston. Still think he's a chucker. Give many other point guards that many shots, they will average the same IMO.

And yes he will win the Rookie of the year. He's being hailed as the mini Roy here in Portland. Not even close to Brandon Roy IMO. Some guy starts chucking since his first game and now he's our closure. He just wants to stat pad, like that incident in Chicago.

And I believe we might even lose Aldridge to some team. Who knows maybe houston.

Yea he has a green light w/ that team, but his %s are ok enough for it - especially considering he's a rookie.

What makes you think they're going to lose Aldridge? I know fans haven't been infatuated with him; but I've heard no rumors out of the FO.

The final shot should go to a player who can create his own shot or a scoring opportunity for others. A guard is usually the best option for that, certainly a better option than a big man.

I'll tell you one guy you don't want shooting FTs with the game on the line: LaMarcus Aldridge.

Blazers win anyway. Props to them for the comeback. Major props to Wesley Matthews for those two late 3s.

The whole team is clutch and very annoying to watch.

It seems like in the 4th qtr at times they just throw stuff up and drain every single shot they need. Ugh.

That was a helluva come back.. Heat leading the whole game and Ray Allen missing a clutch free throw.

Agree... that 2nd Wes Matthews 3 at the end was a supreme luckbox.
