They can keep dwight. aside from asik we're a decent free throw shooting team. the last thing we need is someone we need in the game at crunch time but are fearful having him due to not knowing if he can make his free throws.

Lebron james? you got must be smoking if you think he's going to come to houston. I doubt he's even going to leave miami. the only way i see him leaving is if the heat dont get to the finals this year, and next year when his contract is up. but even then i think he wants to be on a team of stars.

I think I may agree. I wouldn't mind having another low post threat who can also bury 3's and maybe another vet off the bench but we have some very talented young players with lots of room too develop. Just need to grow together. Present and future are soo bright

Why just both when you can assemble the Dream Team? Ran by Jeremy Lin?

Rep This! Asik gives you everything he has, regardless of how limited that may be at times. Plus with Smith coming in behind him I'll pass on Dwight.

Even last summer I didn't think Howard was worth all the trouble the Rockets were going through to get him. Now I sure as hell don't want him. Asik has done a terrific job at center(and costs a fraction of what Howard would demand) and the Rockets' true need is at the 4. They get a premier PF on this team, solidify the bench, and if Lin keeps working on that outside shot, they could be a dangerous team for nearly a decade.

That the Rockets don't destroy what they are building by adding a broken down head case that can't shoot free throws.

But ain’t it the best when…

…we’re not even mad if Howard moves on to another team next year?

…we can easily afford his broken butt but don’t desire to do so?

…Asik looks like the better deal?

this... I love this team...I mean we have some issues...but we dont have to hope and dream for some big fix anymore.

We honestly might have the answer waiting for us in Terrence Jones or D mo... in the past we were hoping for 4 and 5 players to have unprecedented seasons for us to be good...now we doing just fine...and if dmo or t jones becomes the PF we need...so be it...if not...we can trade/sign that player without too much anxiety.

LOL at not wanting Howard. Y'all don't want the best C in basketball? Even playing at less than 100% he is the best C in basketball and fits our offensive scheme perfectly! I doubt he leaves LA to take less anywhere else but you guys are letting hate blind you. Howard is still a top 10 player.

    No need for Howard.
During the off-season, send Asik to Kakeem for Training.
Hire a new shooting coach for Lin.
Open a few more strip clubs in Houston.

We are all set for playoff!:grin::grin:

I can't believe so many people don't want him either.
Just one look at those monstrous shoulders and you can smell an NBA title with the right group (Rockets).

I really like Asik, but honestly he doesn't even look like he works his arms out!

Its not that...its just not the primary need. Asik my very well be as good defensively...and as capable offensively as needed. Our issue is a top in PF.

Our team as constructed would be better to add a kevin love type player as opposed to Howard.

You can take howard out at the end of the game... if its close hes not even on the floor because the other team just fouls him as soon as he gets a rebound.

We cant afford that...spec if we trade asik in the process. If we are going to add that elite talent it should be someone like Love...I honestly think the stars are aligning with his injury....

every draft pick possible and his choice of two forwards (patt, morris, dmo, tjones)...and other fillers for an inujured and disgruntled love.

    dreaming of

    Lin
    Harden
    Parsons
    Love
    asik

... seriously... that can definitely contend...but its also so young and love would fit right in with the chemistry and friendly way things are going in houston...(friends with harden and has a good since of humor from the commericals hes done with players) You could honestly be talking about a future dynasty...not just a contending team.
