Bruce Bowen was brilliant. If Royce Wants to be Ghandi, then succeed in the NBA. The NBA would make such a big deal about White living with his anxiety, since... ya know... NBA Cares, that White would be a progressive, world wide spokesman for an important cause hand in hand with the league, who will run White's ad a million times a day.

    Dude is missing an opportunity. #persevere #overcome #compromise #getheadout***

Got to say I'm astonished at his behavior. He had been here a spell, and we exchanged some posts a time or two in D&D, but I certainly didn't see that coming. Go figure. If he is gone, the fellow deserved what he got. There wasn't a bit of subtlety in what he said.

What i want to know is, is his condition considered life threatening? like hypothetically speaking. if we chained him up and put him on a plane and shipped him across the country on a plane would he be alive when he made it? i know it sounds stupid but is it THAT serious of a condition?

If mental illness is anything, it is unpredictable. While I'm angry at what he's been saying, and beyond sick and tired of his endless assaults on the integrity of the Rockets organization, and his refusal to be the slightest bit reasonable, I don't doubt that Royce White is a very ill person. How he managed to get drafted by anyone, much less in the first round and by our highly intelligent General Manager, says more about the devious nature of his disease, and the strange twists and turns mental illness can take than anything I can imagine, and I can imagine a lot.

I couldnt believe what i was reading. Whether he got a warning or was banned, it made me take another look at the Rookie FAQ just to remind myself of what good conduct looks like.

    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=164186

"There are many things you could do to get yourself banned. Namely, pervasive name calling or personal attacks against another poster. Classless insults or slurs pertaining to race, religion, sexual orientation. Ultimately, Clutch is watching you and your conduct is expected to be at a certain standard. This is mostly a PG-13 rated board. Sexually explicit or extremely vulgar dialogue is frowned upon."

Well, it turned out that all of White's anxiety issues were the result of his anxiety over the possibility of getting suspended without pay for his mental handicap. Once the Rockets suspends him without pay, the stressor is removed and he is suddenly well again...until the suspension ends...

    I don't understand this:

    1. At the beginning, White had meetings with Houston's brass about playing time, so I presume he was ready to play = cleared to play by doctors.

    2. But when Houston wants White to play with Vipers, suddenly this is not cleared by doctors.

What changed in between? Why was he mentally prepared for Houston, but he isn't for Vipers?

It seems like he has more ego issues than mental issues. Or maybe something happened between 1. and 2.?
