I can't put into words how much I love this. Despite the fact that Kobe Bryant is already a despicable jerk because of the Colorado case, he holds a special place of hatred for me after the 2009 playoff series (I mean seriously, you have to be the ultimate dick to go after a guy like Battier). This is my dream scenario for the Lakers. I know it's highly unlikely, but if they somehow miss the playoffs I'll throw a party.

It's a lot more likely that they miss the playoffs than make it. If they lose the next three against HOU, SAS, OKC, they'll be in a 15-21 hole...Then they'd have to go 30-16 the rest of the way to get to 45 wins (usually about the cutoff point in the West). That's an extremely tall order the way things are going... And the cherry on top is that if they miss the playoffs their lottery pick goes to the Suns via the Nash trade...Last time they missed the playoffs they at least got Bynum out of it, but this time all they get is misery and public ridicule lol.
