Something is happening to Whiteside. His efficiency number doubled through the roof in dleague this year in meaningful minutes/games. And he's only 23!

No wonder Rockets pushed for this signing, and it's more and more interesting now.

wow, i'm not trying to jump on the Whiteside bandwagon or anything ...but the 17 boards, 19 pts and 5 blocks in 20 minutes certainly caught my attention. i hope this guy continues to produce and we get to back into a great center prospect again, ala Greg Smith.

Morey is gonna single-handedly change the stigma of the D-League if he keeps finding diamonds in the rough.

Whiteside might be a significant upgrade at the 3rd-string center spot. Greg Smith could be our next OT at the power forward position. I'm still hoping for Austin Daye to back up Parsons-- Aldrich/White/$$$ for Daye? We'd be improved, skilled and versatile, across this lineup:

    Lin/TD/Beverley
    Harden/Delfino/Anderson
    Parsons/Daye
    Morris/Patterson/Smith/DMo/TJ
    Asik/Whiteside

    Rotate and run these guys!

I am surprised by Whiteside's rebounding. Hope he continues it as will as being a better on the ball defender.

Morey uses DLeague to take a look at players (games + practice). If you think the Rockets traded assets frequently ... check out the Vipers

I wonder if Smith can pick up a 3pt shot this off-season, because I pretty much salivate at the idea of a Smith/Asik lineup that's workable.

Interesting you said Austin Daye--in an early radio interview, when Harden was asked who among the NBA players he was close to and could think of recruiting--the only name he gave was ...

    Austin Daye!
