At this point, I think the major things that give the Rockets trouble is strong transition D and maaaaybe shotblockers. But I think they at least partly solved the problem of shotblockers the last couple of games. So really it's transition D, which the Hornets were good at for the first couple quarters, lets be honest, which was imo what made that game closer than it should have been given the W-L numbers of both teams going in. Denver's also a running team, and Lakers had no answer for them; maaaybe they'd figured out the answer in the meantime, but the Rockets had a couple days rest now, time to gameplan, and better chemistry. Possibly equal or better half-court D? At least for the paint. If the Lakers hit their 3's maybe they might get somewhere, if they settle for the long-2, Rockets should catch up in the second half. At any rate, playoff intensity, and I'm looking forward to this game so much.
Lakers could slow the game down to a full stop if they wanted to, if this time they literally defecated in their uniforms out there. It'd probably take a half hour to get everything cleaned up, & all on cue at the right moment, it could be a real momentum killer. No one's scoring 100pts after that.
NBW and Anti Social Kobe are hilarious Anti Social Kobe @AntiSocialKobe I had a nightmare my hands were cut off. But then I learned how to shoot with my feet. Still ain't passing tho. #Adapt #BlackMamba101 Anti Social Kobe @AntiSocialKobe Some fools want me to shoot less. Please. I don't come to your job and tell you how to fill the stapler. Stay in your lane, bruh. Anti Social Kobe @AntiSocialKobe Tiny vials of cocaine & black mamba venom inserted into my blood stream. Whatever it takes. #mambatweets pic.twitter.com/Fo8plqzY
Defiant and in denial to the end - that's Laker fans for you. If we win, it will be because the Lakers played poorly against a "mediocre/bad" team.
Kick em while they're down. don't let the Lakers start to feel good about themselves. Get a big lead early..keep it there even when Kobe tries to take over. Lakers will try to start every game playing hard to try to get back on track..but moment we punch back..they crumble and their body language will go to ****. Withstand their initial attack..keep running and wear them the **** down.
Those are brilliant  My all time favorite still has to be this fake MJ account (deactivated, unfortunately) though - http://assets0.ordienetworks.com/im...c51eb45670674981e5b4148144b27c_width_640x.jpg Not embedding the image since it's pretty long.
The Lakers are a mess but they closed in late in the 4th last night against the Nuggets. If not for Dwight practically giving the game away with his bad pass and subsequent block, they had a chance to at least tie the game. So I'd say the Rockets need to blow them away early with plenty of garbage time left.
@Coach_D_Antoni: Kobe is only 10 rebounds and 10 assists from a triple-double. Lol, love this parody account. I bet Nash wished he had signed with the Knicks.
I wonder what they're saying now since Dwight and Pau are out. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Dwight Howard has torn labrum in his right shoulder, is out at least a week. Pau Gasol has a concussion, is out at least two games. <a href="https://twitter.com/search/%23Lakers">#Lakers</a></p>— Mike Bresnahan (@Mike_Bresnahan) <a href="https://twitter.com/Mike_Bresnahan/status/288381239453446144" data-datetime="2013-01-07T20:27:00+00:00">January 7, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
I hope Rockets blow em out by 25+ that'll shut up those fakers. They wont be ending their losing streak anytime soon Meanwhile we keep rolling
Absolutely. I watched the game too and it was closer than the score indicated. Rockets need to come out and blitz.
Just checked, most of them have accepted reality and are hoping that they go tanking mode this season as there's no hope anyways. One guy suggested they just rest Kobe and Nash tmr too as there was no point in wasting energy losing to us.
