I've visited Golden State forums a bit back when I heard they had great fans. Those were some of the most critical fans I've ever read. Passionate, but incredibly critical of players and the team back when they sucked. I have no idea what you're talking about when you say they'll cut Lin slack. Maybe die hard Lin fans, but they also have his back on this board. The team's fans would've ripped Lin and management apart with his start and a $25mil contract.
Agreed, Lin got a tremendous amount of hate in GS and on boards there. I don't think haters are state-specific.
Have you visited general NBA forums? They've said they same thing about his early play. You mine as well pick another team to follow because Lin isn't going anywhere. Keep hoping for a trade. Sorry sucker
Yep, a lot of hate and Zero respect for his NY performance. Shame on ya'll. It's only going to get better.
while I was watching the first half I would have agreed. Glad he got his head together, great game. but most bipolar player in the league.
What is with Jeremy Lin and absolutely horrendous starts? Dude must not be warming up enough. Or maybe he gets jitters everygame. Regardless, the guy only turns it on in the second half...
Is it me, or does it seem like Lin by going a bit into the Linsanity mode, is also going into the turnover prone mode? Over the past few games, I've seen him make more than his share of dumb passes into traffic that, while they may look good if it succeeds, doesn't seem to succeed often. Along with his jumper, Lin also still need to play under control more.
I've noticed Lin plays way better when he has a complete green light and is allowed to take risks. When he plays more defensively, consciously attempting to corral his mistakes, that's when he completely blows. That might be an inherently bad characteristic for Lin, but I doubt its something he can change in a short amount of time and we really have nothing to lose.
Well, there is definitely a joke on this thread, but it's certainly not JLin7. Try joke of the "Dei". He's funnier than Cosby and Dangerfield. Combined.
Pretty sure you're underestimating the costs Clutch incurs to maintain the site compared to revenue generated by traffic. Speaking of, do you click on any of the ads to generate revenue to keep the site running or have you considered becoming a Contributing Member by donating to the tip jar? If more people contributed I bet the number of ads on the site would be reduced, if not eliminated.
I thought Lin played awful. Needs to stop shooting threes and quit trying to pass like nash. He got a few good open looks and one or two decent drives.
I could be totally off, but to me it seems like he has 2 mode - one where he plays with his brain, and what Brent Berry referred to as "playing with his heart". With the former, Lin seems to over-think everything, look passive as he defers to Harden, and tries to hard to involve his teammates. When in the latter, Lin's aggressive, more confident, bold, and plays great.
