That's why I hope the Rockets would wait till the summer of 2014 before they hand out another max deal...

It's a Lakers thread, where people can come and discuss the Lakers. However, this is still Clutchfans, the home for Rockets fans. You are going to find a lot more Lakers haters around here than Lakers fans.
I applauded out loud after that went in. Totally awesome. Watch Antawn Jamison's reaction on the bench (standing). Galinari was garbage until this shot. I think playing the Lakers intimidates him for some reason. kcplayoffs, took you a while to figure out how Rockets fans feel about the Lakers, eh?
I would normally say this is ridiculous, but this actually seems somewhat possible with the way the Heat are going to be especially if Wade extremely declines by then.
If Wade does start breaking down by then, maybe LeBron James will take his talents back to Cleveland. Win one with Kyrie, who I'm sure will be a top 5 PG at that point. It all comes full circle.
I'm sure LerBon could lure other stars to Miami once Wade is too old. He'd just tell management to trade Wade for the next big thing.
After the Lakers' home loss to the Nuggets last night, it would not surprise me if a Gasol trade finally gets green lit, in a desperate bid by the Lakers to try to save their season. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/omlqjlVa-8E" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> JOHNNY YOU'RE A CREAM PUFF! His bloody nose becomes a metaphor for the...thing...losing...the thing....this is kind of hard. Let's just say that the "playing two centers at the same time" shtick was part of a worthy experiment that even met with some success for L.A. years ago, but the league has changed now. The league these days rewards speed. Quickness. Athleticism, root word athlete, and you'd better actually have those qualities as an athlete or you're going to get run off the floor.
^ Mix that with Howard's 6 of 7 shooting, 26 rbs and 4 bs...and they still racked up a L. I think Howard gets traded before the deadline.
I saw someone post this on twitter: he basically said that the lakers need to go 31-18 in their remaining games to have a reasonable shot at making the playoffs. What do you guys think, will they actually miss the playoffs? I doubt it, but if they do, I find it hard to believe Howard resign with them in the off season, despite having already bought his house in LA
I'm watching nba game time and i saw in the 4th quarter that Howard was 0/0 fg and 0/2 at the free throw line smh
@NotBillWalton: 2013-01-06 20:20 I hear Mike D'Antoni loves 'Django Unchained' because its all about shooting and the D is silent.
This week will probably make or break their season. If they lose both Texas games and at OKC, they may be in too deep a hole to come back. Figure that Denver will remain in the top 8 given how many more home games than road games they've got the rest of the way. The Rockets seem to have it going now. And you figure the top 5 teams are for real and won't collapse in the 2nd half of the season(especially the Spurs, Thunder, and Clippers). So who does that leave? The Blazers? I suppose they could fade and if the T'Wolves and Jazz both have mediocre 2nd halves, the Lakers could sneak into the postseason as the 8th seed. Not sure what'll they'll be able to accomplish from there, but at least they wouldn't be in the lottery.
I know it makes highlights and Dwight loves that but time and time again he is told not to swat shots out like that rather than to just block it and tip it to himself the way Russell did to not give the team back the possession. either way made me lol
