It'll help them get closer to winning now.

GSW have sucked for nearly a decade, they may be moving to SF soon, new coach, young nucleus, there is no win now theory in that locker room. And it would not help them win now.

Maybe not landing another superstar via trade before the deadline.

    Rockets - Gerald Henderson

    Bobcats - Patrick Patterson

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ahgrbnb

Gerald Henderson: 13.7 points per game this season. 46.4 percent three-point shooting.

I like the idea of having another 3 point shooter on this team.

Can see us trading someone for a 1st round pick.

[rQUOTEr]What is the best way for the Pacers to reintegrate Danny Granger without disrupting Paul George's emergence and reviving an anemic offense (bench in particular)?

    Chad Ford
I fully expect that by the start of next season Granger will be wearing a different jersey. The challenge right now is how to bring him back, prove to teams he's still a pseudo-All-Star so that his trade value is high, and not disrupt what's happening in Indy. George is the future of the franchise and Granger's absence has given him the opportunity to emerge. They can't mess with that. But they don't want to sell Granger for pennies on the dollar. Lots of veteran teams would be interested in him if they are comfortable that he can stay healthy. Look for Golden State, Toronto, Houston, Dallas to all pursue.[/rQUOTEr]

[rquoter]Is Houston going to be active in the trade market as the deadline nears?

    Chad Ford
Hearing yes in a major way. They like their backcourt and feel that they are set at the five. Upgrading the 4 looks like the biggest priority ... but could also look to upgrade at the 3 (though Chandler Parsons is having a good season). Rockets still have a number of young assets to offer.[/rquoter]

So Dallas is definitely an exact clone of us 3 years ago now huh?

They're in every trade scenario but they don't have the "assets" to get any deal done.

Trade the Toronto Raptors cheap, young players for Amir Johnson. They're going to be blowing the team up and shopping around Bargnani when he comes back from injury. It'd be nice to get a guy that's good around the basket and will fight for rebounds.

Sorry J.R. Didn't see you had already posted the Chad Ford quotes in here.

The Granger thing is pretty interesting.
There I thought Morey for once might actually be honest when he said he doesn't see us doing anything mayor this year. The Anderson/Cook thing even indicated as much.

I also wonder if they would be looking at acquiring Granger as a SF or as a small ball PF next to Parsons.

Have been thinking about the Granger-Parsons small ball option, too. HOU has had success with Delfino-Parson, so why not Granger-Parsons?

Also, Granger's shot profile fits what Morey likes. Many 3s, many FTs.

Chad Ford has been predicting an imminent Granger trade for 3 straight seasons.

I'd personally (probably) hold off on trading assets for Granger. Ehh...

How would we work a trade for Granger without including Asik, Harden and Lin(salary)?

Can we simply take on Granger's contract without evening the salaries with a package like Delfino, Morris and Motiejunas?

Yeah me too but I really want to see a big playoff push this season and he is much better option than Rudy Gay.

And how's Granger and that knee?

Keep Parsons out of it and I can see Granger as our 4/3. But we'd really be jacking with chemistry. It's no accident our wins and, say, Delfino s health have marched lockstep.

Even Pittypat hasn't sucked. He's hittin that 3.

The 4 is our obvious need for upgrade. But we can't trade Parsons. We have to watch the bromance blossom between he and Lin.

On the Rocketscast they mentioned Harden, Asik, and Parsons as the possible core that they keep going forward.

It makes sense as Lin struggles in the halfcourt and the Rockets will be have to add that part to their game when they add that star big.

Makes sense. I don't know who we'd get at the 1, though. Anyone have any realistic (i.e. not CP3) ideas for the 1 alongside Harden?

I'm thinking Lou Williams or George Hill. There more 2's then they are 1's and thats why they'd go great with James"ball dominant"Harden. They both are great spot up shooters, can hit the 3, dish out 4-5 assist and are 26 and on good contracts.

Almost everybody does, including me. Were also doing good with him right now, and thats great and hopefully this keeps on going. That being said, its obvious lin isn't the best match with james, our star to build around.

J Lin, i think isn't giving us his all, not on purpose or anything but because his strengths aren't taken advantage of with us and it throws him off. I believe on another team, where he could be ball dominant, he could really be a allstar or border line allstar talent. With us he's more average starter talent.

Remember morey ball shows no mercy too lol and if morey's stats say we'd do better with another point, maybe one that i named that should be easily attainable, i would expect him to go for it. Even if it meant trading lin.
