Oh really? What's their W-L record in the past 5 seasons

The Calderon, Bargnani failed experiement should've ended in 2008 when Calderon's hamstring permanently ended his prime.

You say he's cancer, but Raptors players all like him and play harder for him than Lowry. He's physically not as gifted as Lowry is right now, but he has the intangibles you want out of your starting PG.

Clearly there was something wrong with Lowry overall. Mchale couldn't stand him, now Casey can't stand him. He's probably a problem player that most of us don't understand. Maybe he's like Royce White, except he's telling everyone on Twitter. Personally, I never thought he was that good when I watched him play. At the beginning, 70% something free throw shooter for a PG? Weak 3 pointer? Overweight? But for Morey, and now Toronto's GM dropping him, he is obviously not workable.

When I watched Calderon play, he looks pretty damn good. His shots were pretty splash, and he finds the open man, not as good as Lin, but still pretty darn good.

Lin could arguably be a backup to douglas. his stats are comparable and he has good chemistry with the team. A lot of times the team does better when he's in the game. he sinks his shots. So everyone can't really talk that much down on lowry

Why would a 5 game or 7 game hot streak of meaningless games change his 4 years of mediocrity, no effort on defense, unable to do shet on offense without a screen, allergy to the key, inconsistency with his shot, inability to create his own shot, refusal to drive, inability hit shots when his team needs it, and random hamstring flareups.

His intangibles hasn't brought any result since 2008. He is now a old men on the last year of his ridiculous contract, and I can't wait til he is out of here.

Other than a few spurts here and there, Lowry has not shown to be anything more than an above average player either. And he's also injury prone with a surly attitude. So yeah, while Calderon may not have been a star post-injury, Lowry hasn't been beastly besides a 10-20 game stretch here or there.

There's a reason why Morey dumped him so quickly the moment he found a sucker willing to give a lottery pick for him.

I've seen all the condemnation of Lowry and knew about the injuries and that Calderon had become the starting point and assumed Kyle was having a really bad year. Now I notice that he's number 14 in the league, among qualifying players, in player efficiency rating. I also see he's averaging 15.5 ppg, 6.0 ast per game, and 5.1 rpg. New system, new teammates, people that resent him, a certain lack of a winning mentality, and some wicked injuries. It's been a tough season for Kyle, and he's only played 20 games. Somehow he seems a shell of his former self . . . but his numbers are slightly better than they were with Houston. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't try to become a very vocal leader a little too soon, but that young man just needs a long run of good health. Maybe he needs to mature a little. I think he mostly needs to get healthy, and to feel like he belongs.

not really, I am talking as a pissed off fan/follower of the Raptors for the past 10 years.

I don't care what they do with Lowry, I hope they keep him since it's a bargain of a contract and he's young. yes he can be a problem in the locker room, but does it really matter? they need to overhaul the roster anyway, and one thing I know is Lowry plays his heart out every game and he will contribute.

But if they keep Bargnani or bring back Calderon for anything more than a 3-4mil a year contract, I am done with this stupid ass franchise and management.

I bet they are only showcasing Calderon for a trade.

The Raptors are a mess. They draft dead weight like Bargianni, Rozen and Waiters. Then they add insult to injury giving Bargianni a big extension. They then decline giving up their 2012 pick for Lowry, but instead draft a guy shooting 33% from the floor but give up a future #1 that now looks like a 3-8 pick. Then they decide to not start Lowry and get to look forward to no #1 for sucking.

I am sure they will resign the over paid, mediocre Calderon and then go back to Lowry.

You're a raptors fan and you're complaining about the Raptors being no good on the Houston fan site? Hey, I sometimes root for the warriors too...but...

Lowry has made it clear that he wants to be the franchise player, and build the team around him. I don't think there is one owner will make that kind of commitment right now. Too bad, Thomas is not the GM for Knicks now, otherwise it is possible.

Worse than the stats look, until 4:40 left in the 4th quarter Goran only got 2 pts from 1-for-6.

By cancer I mean cancer to the rebuilding process of the team. I've met Jose once, he seems like a really nice guy and I'm sure his team mates and coaches love him too. But the management's love story with him and Bargnani has done nothing for this franchise for the past 4 years and it's time for them to leave and build around Jonas V, Lowry, Ross and whatever pick they get in 2014 which they should tank.
