Morey/Les should wait him out as long as possible and hopefully without paying him a red cent. Both as a business issue and as a human issue, it is best not to give in to White's delusions and try to get the young man some help.

One year in NBA terms are 6 months of RS and 2 months of Postseason

This bridge is burnt. No matter if White ends up back on the team in the future, Morey will ship his @$$ first chance he gets.

This. If his condition prevents him from playing for Rio Grande Valley and the Rockets don't have space for him in Houston, then that's that. I don't hate White for his refusal. Many healthy people wouldn't even want to live down there.

The only I see him ever getting close to written protocol
Him hiring a brigade of mercenaries and going directly to Stern and forcing him to change rules

Stern should just ban him from nba, nay fiba forever. The ungrateful sod.
Plus, he is not very good in his "passion" music either. Does he not have a mom/dad/friend who will knock some sense in him?

The union's protocol doesn't match with his. Recent reports said his OCD wanted protocols or plans for everything.

I wonder what his detailed plan is... How to live off 3 million in unworked contract money?

Really no one, except for a patient's DOCTOR, should have ever been writing such contracts in the first place. Not as they apply to the mentally disabled anyway.

Look at tonight-royce white is kind of like Robert GriffinnIII, if you imagine Royce having to endure RGiii's rookie season- his coach put him out there against doctor's orders, then literally ran him into the ground. Now the rockets are effectively doing the same thing to Royce, only psychologically.

Really? If that's what he wants, way to go, Mr. White.
