Not sure about that. He said both of the team doctors agree with Royce's protocol.

Mental people make sane individuals mental...I am sure that all this talk about mental health and anxiety troopers have destroyed any sense of sanity Morey and Les had in regards to Royce...Royce has pushed their generosity to beyond that invisible line...

It is time to settle this garbage in the courts...If Royce and his legal team can prove their case, he deserves to have his contract honored...and get a severance package. However, in all likelyhood, the courts will come down hard on this kid...

His family and children are going to be destitute and will never get a job any where...

If i was an employer at McDonald's...i wouldnt hire him...

Players are within their right to decline team requests to play in the D-League. If White was all about collecting a paycheck all he has to do is turn up to practice/games and go through the motions.

I think it's more that until the team agrees that the doctors have complete say on what's "safe" for him, he refuses to do absolutely anything. If the team agreed to letting the docs make the calls, and then the docs told White that playing in the D-league wouldn't be unsafe, he'd probably attempt to do it.

My problem is that it's quite possible that whenever he feels like ANYTHING is contributing to an unsafe level of anxiety, he'll petition the doctors to adjust their recommendations accordingly. This is a very gray area with many a slippery slope, and it's pretty easy to see why the team has little interest on agreeing to this "protocol" White wants.

He holds a roster spot that's needed to provide depth for a playoff push....
IDK why you could have missed that
BTW interested in how all of this resolves in the end because it's never happened before in the NBA this being unprecedented

I am more worried about that roster spot tbh with you

If there was someone that would help us with a playoff push that we needed to sign, i'm sure we can just cut Cole.A or Scott.M, who aren't helping us for the playoffs.

It is easier said than done.
Aldrich and Machado were following guidelines of the team,
what the team asks them to do so to speak.

Aldrich going to practice and proving a sparring partner for the bigs
and Machado working on his game in Dleague games

You just can't let go of those guys and have a good conscience when another guy is on twitter and not helping

Guess Daequan Cook must be totally useless in practice and is a cancer for his team and the NBA.

I don't think this is an accurate statement.

One thing I started wondering today (given his contract addendum request): why isn't he working through the player's association? It's going to hurt him in court if he hasn't exhausted his options of union representation in any sort of labor issue. (And I know this from some cases I've seen in my union, and people going "rogue" to do their own lawsuits without following the union grievance process.)

The player's association is probably steering clear of this one.

He did see the doctor the Rockets hired. I remember White tweeting something about it.

I think the Redskins just proved Royce's point. Sports teams don't have their players' best interests in mind when making decisions about player health. The Redskins ignored the best sports doctor in the US's advice and played RG3 when his knee was messed up and he re-injured it. Royce thinks mental health should be treated just as seriously as physical health and it's not irrational for a player to want a doctor to have the executive decisions about a player's health rather than management. He's handling the situation incredibly poorly, but he does have a point; management will ignore doctors and put its players at risk if protocols to prevent that aren't in place.

Rockets are surely not disclosing what the doctors would say publicly
