you take what the defense is giving you. they covered deep and refused to bite on playaction. That meant the running game and check downs were what was available, and Schaub made that work when he needed to. Team needs to kill the penalties and get some luck with their terrible special teams
Wellp, pretty good game. Defense played really well. Offense was meh. Now the Texans get the opportunity to play the Patriots in Foxboro. gg
It will if the defense especially the secondary turns it up. Not likely though, so we will depend on Schaubs arm in a shoot out vs Brady. It can be done, Go TEXANS!!!
I'm happy for the win obviously, but there is still cause for concern. The Texans played well enough to win, but they didn't put in a dominant performance...especially on offense. Houston sucked in the red zone. As for the defense, aside from one series in the third quarter, and allowing two big runs in the first quarter...the Texans D played very well. Shiloh Keo needs to not see the field on defense next weekend, though. This kind of performance on offense will not be enough to even belong on the same field as the New England Patriots next week. I think New England blows Houston out, similar to what they did to us in the regular season game.
To be the best you have to beat the best......so we didn't sit on our butts for a week...the offense was clicking better (except in the redzone).....and they earned their way to New England....I suppose ya never know what can happen.
One of the biggest complaints about this game is that we HAVE to convert those FGs into TDs if we want to beat NE. Hope the defense keeps it up, great to have Brooks Reed back.
How much you guys wanna bet, the Texans will be ready against the Pats since their ass got handed to them couple weeks ago. They will play with more passion and enthusiasm. JJ wATT will play Tremendously.
