knocked some sense into him. somebody at the half mustve told him to drive the ball to the basket and finish. he gets so deep with the penetration, might as well take the contact and try and finish. make them blow that whistle.
Unless you're Purvis Short? Dial back the clock old Rockets and Warriors fans. If you look at Lin's splits, he shoots 9% better from 3 at home. Maybe the visiting teams turn up the fans/AC in the gym. Lin's strengths from college were the midrange game. Being under "instructions" to avoid the midrange game is really hurting his percentages (and making it easier for defenses to defend both him and the Rockets). I have been saying this since the preseason, but obviously the Rockets have their set strategies. I know the Rockets have a great scoring offense, but they would be even better, as there are clearly times when you should shoot the 20 footer (or 18 footer) instead of forcing up a contested 3 (or shooting a 3 before you are warmed up and in rhythm, especially for rhythm players).
I would guess it generates more. Clutch deserves every penny of it though. Best fan site in all of sports.
Lin makes 34% of shots between 3ft and 3pt line. And he shoots them 60% of the time putting aside layups. The Rockets are smart to ask a 34% 2 point jump shooter to shoot 3s, even at a 27% clip. You can blame the coaches all you want for shot selection, but that doesn't change the fact that Lin can't shoot beyond a layup this year. THAT is on him to improve.
I am going to guess you are going to get banned. Clutch probably does make good amount of money on this site. He built it and am sure has had to go out of pocket at some point so all the money he makes now he deserves.
Honestly, no. He needs to seriously work on it this summer. Everything else in his game is fine but that jumper is really ugly.
He is shooting 43% while he has a bad jump shot. Just think how much better he will be when he can shoot it on a better percentage. I don't have any doubt that his shot will get better and i would think that most people feel the same way.
if he gets a jumper, that will definitely open up his gm. not sure if its the gameplan but he should just settle for that mid-range shot instead of the three ball. he's an excellent free throw shooter, so it kind of baffles me that he such a poor shooter, especially, on the OPEN shots
