he has made similar throws from further out, washington winning td was 30 yards I believe. one to andre for a first down against miami, where dre nearly flipped was similar to that throw. I actually had eli winning the mvp this year, as I thought eli would win that division and put up similar stats to last year. Plus with the 5,000 yards and winning the division, I figured national writers would feel bad for always poking fun at him and eli shoving it back in their faces with victories but like they say...and that's why they play the game. now he's home calling poppa bear.
are you seriously bragging about 30 yards? seriously? 30 yards bro? i just find it so fascinating how a qb who has never played a playoff game and who always comes up short in big time games can garner so much support in houston.
In the past quarter-century, only one defense has held opponents to fewer than 11 points per game. That team? Ray Lewis' Ravens. In 2000, Baltimore set NFL records for fewest points allowed (165) and fewest yards rushing allowed (970) in a 16-game schedule. In addition to Lewis, who eventually was named Super Bowl MVP, Baltimore's defense boasted safety Rod Woodson, who was named to the NFL's 75th Anniversary All-Time Team.
Panicky in the pocket is what Matt is becoming . . . . beginning to remind me of CARR taking sacks by running out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage Schuab is just smarter . . .and knows to throw it away Rocket River
I have noticed this as well. Part of it is the offense as a whole is just not as good. The line isn't as good, we don't have Jacoby as a 3rd receiver, and Arian isn't involved in the passing game.
1. The line has 3 pro bowlers. First time ever in texan history. Does any other team this season have more than two? Stop scapegoating the line. They havent been perfect but they have been more than good enough. 2. Jacoby JOnes? The same jacoby that was public enemy #1 last year? The same jacoby that coulnt run routes properly and has horrible hands? #Youdontknow*****aboutfootball
#BeWell 1. The right side of the line has been bad. The Winston loss has been huge. 2. Jacoby is far better than Keyshawn, LeStar, Posey, or whatever other crap we are putting out there. He got 500 yards on 16.5 ypc last year as the 3rd receiver. He could stretch the field.
Valid points, however i must say this: Andrew Luck has been getting lit up all season line, his oline is absolute ****. You cannot completely scapegoat the oline for a QBs inability to come through in big games. Also, don't forget that Jacoby was basically the #2 last season when Andre was out along with other members of the TE/WR corp, that being said... I always thought Jacoby's talents were hindered by Schaub's style of play.
no its not always the qbs fault, but you guys are looking for every single excuse to justify schaubs liabilities. nothing but contradictions. first you guys use the #2 offense in the league(before the losing streak) to justify his worth, then you say hes missing jacoby now because the crap wr corp is why hes struggling in the last month. then you blame the o-line, but the o-line is the same o-line that started during the 11-1 stretch and now all of a sudden the team is desperately missing winston and briesel. the problem is matts schaub is a system qb, when the sytem breaks down he is incapable of making a play beyond what hes told to do. when the texans execute the system to perfection than schaub can roll out and hit the open guy. heres a perfect example of schaub failure to extend a play. a play breaks down and schaub throws the ball away before anything develops under no pressure at all.. <iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/S9cHjDfcrNA" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="560"></iframe> #systemqb #statwhore #mentalmidget
Spot effing on. This is exactly why I think schaub is incapable of leading a team far in the playoffs. How many plays have we absolutely wasted bc schaub is a. Completely immobile b. Incapable to throw downfield c. Unable to withstand any pressure? You don't get those plays back, they're gone. To think that the only time schaub can be relied upon is things are working perfectly does not bode well for a team w superbowl aspirations.
