Was just watching NFL Live and both guys on there picked the Bengals to win. They both also picked AJ Green over AJ80, and the Bengals D-Line over the Texans.
It's strange, especially since they never disclose it with any detail. It's been quad and/or hip related but that's about all.
I can't find last year's predictions for the Bengals @ Texans playoff game anywhere on the interwebs. Help?
The silver lining to losing Sharpton and Dobbins is that Ruud is a luxury to have as your 4th LB. Also, BJGE isn't 100% and we've been good all year against the run mostly because of the front line. I don't see this being a game changing loss tomorrow. Now, as to what we're going to do if we move on to NE with Gronk and Hernandez without a single LB that can deal with either of them? Um...let's talk in 24 hrs.
Trying to find the predictions from last year... can't seem to find any... This is close: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ycn-10780705 (picking Cincinnati) Or maybe something like this: http://espn.go.com/nfl/picks (but from last year)
You go nickel and dime a lot and pretty much dare them to run on you...at least that's all I can come up with.
As did both on Sportscenter this morning and most other prognosticators I've seen. Even those that have picked the Texans did it with hesitancy. I don't care. The fact is that the Texans are the better overall team. If they can't get their heads out of their collective asses for this game and the rest of them this season, then what else can you do? I don't want them playing like an underdog. I want them playing like the team that kicked the crap out of Denver and beat Baltimore 43-13. Go out there and assert your dominance from the first snap. Kick the living s*** out of the bengals, again, and remind everyone else that this is a team that is a Super Bowl favorite no matter who and where.
I think we play a little better, but not that much... Texans kick a 37 yd FG as time expires and win 23-21.
Most folks picked the Bengals last year too, citing three losses in a row, rookie quarterback, etc., etc. Old habits die hard.
i respect manning as a player and surefire HOFer, but i would like to take a crowbar to his prodigious forehead. is that mean?
I'm confident they'll get back to early season form. Cincy doesn't scare me as much as New England or Denver does. Of course, they have to win on Saturday first.
