Bucks defend well against 3PT shooting, but not against fast breaks -- they have the second worst record at defending fast breaks.
looking forward to watching big John Henson, who was one of my favorite players coming out of the last draft. Wish he had lasted to #16.
- harden field day at the line with their bigs - douglas' speed may come in handy - ellis is on my list of on the top rocket killers so we gotta wactchout - lin SHOULD be able to do well in this game. If he poops the bed in this one, i will be super dissappointed. - they should not play down to level like the toronto game but stay the course and comepte harde
Should be a good game. On the road, and a potential trap game in some ways as the Rockets are a better team I think. We score more, run a faster pace, and the Bucks are weak in transition Defense (27th worst in the NBA), and their 16-12 record is built off a very weak schedule (7th easiest in the NBA so far). On the other hand, Jennings and Ellis are hot and cold this season. They are streaky and can put up a lot of points if they get in a good rhythm. If they are out of rhythm, they can put up horrible games. Against Memphis, Ellis shot 1/14. And Jennings has had 2 games of 3/13 shooting in the last 10 games. They're both averaging 40.4% FG% for the season so far. I suspect the biggest X-factor will be Larry Sanders. He has a very high block rate (3.00 per game in 24.7 minutes), however he ALSO has a very high foul rate (3.8 fouls per game). If we get Sanders in foul trouble early, it will completely open up the rim. His being in the game could impact the efficiency of our ability to score at the rim. The Rockets *should* win this game, but on the road and against Ellis and Jennings, I think anything can happen.
You guys don't even know what " trap game" means, anyways rockets will have hard time beating bucks tonight
I think our secret advantage is in the second quarter, when the Bucks are playing the 2nd unit, we will have Lin, TD, Delfino, Patterson and Greg Smith on the floor. That is a potent lineup for any opposing 2nd unit to handle.
You guys need to remember... The guys want to win this one for DEL3INO, who played for the Bucks the last few years. Also, I'm sure Jeremy will be amp'd going up against Monta, and vice-versa.
Haha. I saw someone accidently posted it in a Spurs thread and laughed out loud for some reason and felt it was necessary to make it a tradition. haha.
I like Sampson's strategy for hiding Ouglas on defense: Switch on everything. As long as they don't ask Ouglas to guard anybody they ought to be fine. I expect to see more Ouglas tonight as the Rockets gameplan to switch on everything against the Bucks backcourt, so Ouglas better not turn into Uglas tonight.
I don't think this is an easy opponent. Look at their schedule and who they beat and lose....they're not that easy to beat at home. So, Rockets need to be careful and bring their A game.
Was it the last game where Clyde said "on any other team, Douglas would be a starter"... or did I hallucinate that?
