That's why I brought it up. People are going to be focused on Matt having a "great" game. I don't want Matt to have a "great" game. I want him to be his normal, robotic self. Efficient, cautious, and effective. If you're waiting for Matt Schaub to carry this team to a Superbowl, you're going to be waiting a while.
well in that case just put tj yates. I disagree. he makes the throws, that the receivers catch, which gets to the endzone or to the redzone where foster caps it of with a 4 yrd run.

If we were talking about a 3-, 4-, 5-game stretch, maybe. But if you win 11 in a row in this league, you are an elite team, I don't care who the 11 teams are. Every year, there are far more bad teams than good ones. Thirteen this year won 10 or more games. Last year, it was 9, the three years prior to that: 13, 10 and 10. On average, a team will play 5-6 games against 10+ win teams in any given season. So if we're going to invalidate sustained stretches of obvious excellence in this league because of competition... then outside of playoff runs, there really are no exceptional accomplishments in the NFL. I agree, generally, that results against playoff teams is a good measure of where a team is (as, I think, we've seen with the Texans this year). But Denver gets a rare "I" on that given 3 of those games were within the first five weeks of the season when Manning was still getting up to speed. Right now, they look unbeatable.
I don't see why you wouldn't. A big part of Peyton being Peyton is familiarity with his offensive teammates and most importantly his wr. It's a very precision based offense and there was no way he was going to be in sync with Decker and Thomas from the get go. Also, saying the first six games were only .500 makes it seem like were up and down in all six. They lost 2 of 3 and then went on to win 12 of the next 13
Manning was able to keep up with and tackle, though more like a stumble, Brandon Flowers on an interception return.
was peyton being peyton when he went 19/26 253 yards, 2 TDs , and 0 INTs in the very first game against the Steelers who would be the number 1 defense in the league? that sounds like perfect numbers to me. in ATL, he started off the game really bad with 3 INTs but ended up with 241 yards and a TD. then against Houston he goes for 26/52 330 2 0. that looks like great numbers to me. at what point did he become peyton of old again? maybe the next game against a crappy OAK game? another 3 TD performance and no INTs. these are his numbers against NE the next week...31/44 337 3 0. that looks pretty comparable to the Texans game. was he the peyton of old yet even though the Patriots routed the Broncos? Peyton has been his old self since the beginning of the season. there was nothing wrong with him when the texans played them. Yes, the Broncos did win 12 of their last 13. The Texans won 12 of their first 13. and if you look at the opponents during those weeks you'd see a common denominator...they mostly sucked.
peyton's pocket movement is great. when schaub has his guard or tackle close in the pocket his eyes drop and he starts flinching...
