sure. I don't know if it was a protocol in place or just a hand shake verbal agreement.
I remember him consulting multiple doctors before making his decision.
    Sure it was a mistake

It does not change the fact that this whole White dilemma adds another extreme to this special treatment ordeal.
Simply because there's no clear bottom line to all of this.
The protocol has to be upgraded regularly whenever he feels that new agendas come up

He isn't even an NBA player yet. It's like McGrady refusing to play for the Raptors until they have a protol in place for him.

The Dude: I'll tell you what I'm blathering about... I've got information man! New **** has come to light! And ****... man, she kidnapped herself. Well sure, man. Look at it... a young trophy wife, in the parlance of our times, you know, and she, uh, uh, owes money all over town, including to known pornographers, and that's cool... that's, that's cool, I'm, I'm saying, she needs money, man. And of course they're going to say that they didn't get it, because... she wants more, man! She's got to feed the monkey, I mean uh... hasn't that ever occurred to you, man? Sir?

Sherry in 'Logjammin': [on video] You must be here to fix the cable.
Maude Lebowski: Lord. You can imagine where it goes from here.
The Dude: He fixes the cable?
Maude Lebowski: Don't be fatuous, Jeffrey.

Maude Lebowski: What do you do for recreation?
The Dude: Oh, the usual. I bowl. Drive around. The occasional acid flashback.

And that pretty much sums up the situation, doesn't it?

Yup....he did this in Minnesota as well. But he seems smart enough to know that it won't be any different on any other team.

He does think he is in the right. But he also wants to play clearly. And at some point, he's going to give in. ANd he will find a way to make it a victory for him and those who follow him.

"Rockets finally agree to medical protocols! - Victory for mental illness!"

There is another way to handle this. You let him have his way, but you keep him in the D League so long as he is unwilling to commit. He can have his "medical protocals" but you tell him, until you can get it to a point that your condition doesn't require you to miss practices, you will stay in the D League. But that's the last card to play and only if you believe that Royce White will hold his ground.

He just said his medical protocols do not include going to the D-League. Doctors' orders. Hell, his health might require 15 minutes each home game he feels up to participating in...

    Seriously?
    What's next?
Medical protocols says he must play minimum 20 min each game and cannot play any garbage time?

The way he has been throwing medical excuses all over the place, seems like Royce needs proctoscopy before any proCtocols can be installed....

White explains that he has refused to go to the D-League because, he explains, doing so would mean a departure from the protocol doctors have recommended for him. Some of the more interesting quotes:

"That routine recovery was OK’d by their doctors and in the 12th hour kind of made a D-League recommendation. And I said, ‘Hey, listen, I’m going to go with what the doctors are saying and if you guys want to fine me or suspend me because I’m not going to the D-League you can do that, but I’m going to stick with what the doctors have said.'"

funy, for a person who talks about transparency and protocol, he can't even disclose them and continues to banter about it, too much generic statements from Royce,

Sorry for not linking to the source. Assumed folks were gonna pick it up from the radio interview and transcript. ico4498 got it for me:
I couldn't believe the moron said it either. It is just a hop and a skip from having the doctors prescribe playing time.

This is the first(??) specific thing he has said about these protocols and it is utter stupidity. He is no evil genius with a master plan. But he is a scammer/entitled baby who is smart enough to know some of the details are ig'nant.

So White's doctors aren't directly making requests to the Rockets. Rather, they've outlined "protocols" for White to follow, but White's the one refusing to budge if he feels that the Rockets' orders conflict with these protocols. It sounds like he's determined to follow the "recovery routine" to the letter.
