I see your point (def. valid). Agree on TD - love his energy but he's a SG in its purest definition. Lin def. has the complete skill set required of a PG but I thought he was a tad passive tonight, often giving up the ball too early IMO. (Don't recall seeing too many hockey assists tonight, but the game didn't have my 100% attention so I could've missed them.) Still think Harden deserves a little more credit. If he could draw the defense out to open up space in the paint and dish out an assist, then he's done his job as a PG. Besides, in Harden's defense, often times when he has the ball, the other 4 players would just stand around (not cutting/moving).

But, having said that, I see your point. Also want to let you know I've always enjoy your post-game analysis. Keep up the great work and keep them coming. :)

2nd nosebleed of the season. 1st was against Denver (I think).

Maybe there should be a statistic on nosebleeds, sprained ankles, flu symptoms and food poisoning.

    Thanks! I'll try!
PS: yes, really agree about the 4 other guys standing around when Harden gets the ball. That has to improve!

Thanks raskol for your kind offer. But that seems a little bit too much for me to handle, since a thread under my name is not deserved and also would make me feel very much under the spotlight ;)

If the forum fellows think that a post game thread with reviews and analysis from several members should be better than combining the pre, during and post game in one single thread, and they start it, surely I'd follow and post my reviews there (when I watch a game, of course).

Lin in 41 minutes: 3-10 from the field, 1-4 from three-point range, 9 points, while being guarded by Greivis Vasquez.

This game was won at the shooting guard position where Harden scored 31 points to just 4 by Austin Rivers and 0 by Roger Mason.

Lin stunk up the arena at point guard.

The Hornet shooting guards just stunk a bit worse.

Once again, Lin rides the coattails of Harden.

The game threads are not as good as they used to be. Nothing against Jeremy Lin but so sick of 99% of the discussion being about Lin. The Rockets have 11 other players suited up and Harden has become a superstar but the discussion is always Lin..always...

SMH you know nothing abt the game.

Lin is not the primary play-maker of his team but Vasquez is the primary play-maker of the Hornets. This kind of comparison is meaningless.

jimmy ling had a bad shooting gm, but he ran the offense pretty well tonight and dished out the assists (could have easily been 10+ if guys finished). also, played great defensively vs greivas, and rebounded the ball well

hopefully, his shot will come around. want to see more of him taking it to the rack and maybe going to the foul line. luckily, the rockets do not rely on him to score the ball

Yeah, I like Lin and consider myself a fan but I have to agree with you. Would love to talk about Harden, Parsons, or even those crazy shots Douglas always seemed to put up for a change.

That's really just par for course. Nobody who has been paying least bit of attention is the slightest surprised by this. Ouglas' defense is complete and utter horsecrap. At least we didn't see the dreaded Alrich-Ouglas combo tonight. That is just unwatchable. Happy Toney "Free Layup Drill and Wide Open Jumpers for All" Ouglas Day, everybody.

    Funny moment of the game:

NOH's gameplan...get out early, try to make a run, and pray for some McHale kneejerk intervention. Made the run, no McHale intervention. Okay, NOH calls time mid-1st to give McHale a chance for some timely McHale intervention. McHale goes, "Nah uh. Sorry, pal, not tonight. I'll throw you a bone later holding Asik out, but other than that you are on your own."

    ;)

As far as I know, no one is stopping anyone from posting about other players. You and I both know why people love to talk about Lin.

While Harden is a far superior player than Lin in everything basketball, he cannot match Lin's star power.

And seriously, you like to talk about Douglas? Haven't you had enough of him in New York? ;)

I'm not going to hide that I'm a Lin fan. I think your judgement is pretty spot on. I think Lin's court general should be upgraded to elite though. But then again, I'm a big Lin fan.

I don't understand how refs can miss fouls like this. The game against OKC was an elbow to the head.

Geez, I understand not everyone gets superstar calls but come on.

    Douglas played in NY?

(I kid, I kid...) <--- need this obligatory disclaimer just so I won't inadvertently start another non-argument.
