For the tickets, you have to keep trying. Even with it says not available. Only single seats were left. There were still some left just checked 1 min ago. Just keep trying

It would catch everyone by surprise if it was a play action screen... can't remember the last time I saw that. It would get the o-line moving and active. It would get Arian involved early and active. It should be a surprise. And set up a ton of stuff off of it.

Probably would have a penalty, though.

Yup, more than anything else, I'm the most pissed about the fact that these guys literally robbed the city of Houston from hosting a Divisional/Championship Round game. No matter what happens this Saturday, it's going to be impossible to feel good about going into New England and getting a win. It's going to feel even worse when you consider that instead of going in to Foxboro, we could have been sitting in Houston waiting for the winner of the Colts/Ravens game. This team had about as good an opportunity to get to the Super Bowl as any team in history, and they blew it in pathetic fashion. However, I guess the silver lining to take from this is that they have a chance to rectify whatever it is that's been ailing them, and come out on Saturday and exorcize the demons that are holding them back. If they can recapture the mojo that they were running with in the first 11 weeks of the season, then I suppose anything is possible going forward.

I scored an extra one for fellow clutchfans who couldn't get one. Section 337, Row H, seat 16. Total came out to $382.52. Expensive but No price gouging, pay what I paid for.

I don't see the big deal in the city not being able to host an AFC championship game or divisional game. Last time I checked, you didn't need to host an AFC championship game to see your favorite team make it to a Super Bowl. Who cares if it's not in your city. The Super Bowl is not in your city, unless you live in New Orleans, all you care about is your team make it into the Super Bowl or AFC Championship game.

Yeah, they had a real good shot of having home field advantage, but I guarantee you guys will be just as happy if they make it to the AFC championship game and win it.

Nope, they will say "I never doubted my Texans" even after they've been bashing the team all this time for "choking away the top seed." Trust me, they'll talk like they've never been upset at the Texans at all.

When I went on vacation (from work and thus the bbs) 2 weeks ago, we were 12-2 and destined to host the ravens and broncos on the way to an inevitable Superbowl berth.

Just UN. BELIEVABLE. how we've managed to eff that up.

Seriously, even if we manage to sleep-walk our way to a win against the Bengals (by no means a forgone conclusion), I give us no shot whatsoever against the Pats.

Yes, I'm a bandwagon fan. I've only been a fan for the last 10 years. I will continue to be a fan no matter what happens the next few weeks.

That being said, I am of the belief that our season effectively ended in Indy last weekend.

Been a fan since Day One. Oiler season ticket holder before that.
I've seen the ups and far more of the downs in this town.
But this is the battered wife syndrome: they started great, played well enough to have everyone believing they had finally turned it around and were in the ranks of the respectable, dominant teams. Everyone was all in, emotionally.
Then they spit the bit... all the while making us believe they were just one week away from righting the ship... FOR FOUR GAMES!... till they ran out of mulligans.
Now that we have probably the (self-inflicted) roughest road of any AFC contender, pardon me if it doesn't piss me off just a little bit.
The football fans of this town deserved better.

I just saw an ad on TV for "Monster Jam" at Reliant Stadium for this Saturday, 2:30 PM.

I guess they didn't think the Texans would be playing a home game this weekend.

    That's not the big deal.

Who do you think is saying they'll be unhappy about making the super bowl?

The reasons folks are in a funk right now is:

    1) The Texans finished on a 1-4 run, looking significantly worse than any other team now in the playoffs. Offense, Defense, Special Teams...none of the 3 are giving us winning efforts right now.

    2) By botching homefield advantage, the Texans
    2a) lost their bye week
2b) will have to win an extra game to make it
2c) have a significantly worse road, staring at CIN-@NE-@DEN instead of bye-BAL-(NE or DEN)

We're all fans here - but the past couple of weeks have taken all the wind out of our sails.

Ugh, just an all around fail. Fail for the fans, as you rob them of having two potential playoff games in Houston. It's rare to host a AFC title game period. Thanks Texans!! Fail for the team as you wond up in the tougher bracket and had an "easy" path to the AFC title game.

FYI, single seats are still available online. I just saw a club level one for $377.38 (section 340). There are multiple other club seats in the $230 range. Cheapest one I saw was $162 in section 747.

You don't see the big deal in being able to go to a AFC Championship game....in person? In your home city, cheering for your team?

You're totally missing the point. You do understand that it's much easier to win 2 home games in 3 weeks than it is to win 1 home game and 2 road games in 3 weeks, right?

THAT'S what we're pissed about. Not the fact that we can't watch the games in person.....

It's not a big deal as them MAKING it to the AFC Championship Game. You're missing the point. The big deal is that they make it, doesn't matter where whether it be in Houston, Denver, New England, Mars, whatever.

Not to mention the path to the Super Bowl would have been much easier. Having to face Colts/Ravens at home for the first game, then only having to face Broncos/Pats once at home to get there is not that difficult.

Having to go to both New England and Denver on the road is damn near impossible. The Texans blew it.
