James Harden is as good a playmaker as Jeremy Lin.

I think a lot of people overlook the fact that Lin is still relatively a rookie. Doesn't even have a full season of playing time under his belt and they expect too much from this kid.

Me myself _ I'm a Rockets fan that just wants the team to win and I don't care who does what when they do...

But I do honestly believe if Lin can become more consistent and find his outside shot (27 percent from beyond the arch is horrible) _ this will be the deadliest backcourt in the league.

agree most of the time he should but at rare times when jlin isn't playing as good (eg. wolves game) harden will have to initiate the offense

Actually Lin still had two All Stars on the court with him in Amore and Tyson.

Lin and Mello couldn't coexist and play team ball together. Why blame that on Mello. They should both carry that load.

And the coach didn't leave on his own _ he got fired..

Superstar, the word has been abused by some fans. It should be only used to refer someone who has achieved a great deal in their field, who has a huge recognition and following in the social media around the country or the world. Does Harden have those? Besides basketball fans, do people know him? I am not going to argue with you if he is playing at a superstar level or not? Harden will be a superstar or not, only time will tell.

Thanks for the chat. I'm glad we got around in the end to be civil. It's all about supporting the Rockets in the end though. As a side note, I actually thought your name was from the Matt Damon character in Courage under Fire, so I looked it up but it wasn't the same.

    Wrong information

D' antoni was resign and Lin and Melo had worked together under Woody and they won 6-1.

Amare was not on the team until Toronto game and that game almost lost. Lin had last shot...

No where in my post I said WHY D'Antoni was fired (or forced to step down which is the same darn thing)..

But as a poster above did state _ Mello and Lin did win games together...

Because he hasnt been doing it for more than half a season. 30 games is as big a sample size as 26 games. You again demostrated your bias and double standard when it comes to Lin and that has become the reason you hate Lin or Lin fans.

No one is saying Lin is better than Harden, but you are the only one who said "If Harden is not a superstar, then Kobe Bryant should not be a SUPERSTAR." Mind you, Kobe's been doing it for 10+ years.

Kobe has also always had another super star or stars on the court with him and he also will take 30 shots to get 30 points...

Come on mate, there's nothing to argue. Kobe also had few seasons single handedly took lakers to the playoffs.

What is a superstar to you? It's years of consistent performance at an elite level, not just 1 season nor 30 games.

    Case closed.

I am with you on this. It is a bit to early to call harden a superstar. He is definitively an all star & is on the superstar track but we need more games. Give Harden at least a full season as a starter.

cause mello played harder and put effort in games after d'antonio left. with mello, lin turned into a side kicker instead leading the team no matter who was the coach, d'antonio or woodson. the blame should be on mello completely.

One question. Why is it that the Rockets score just as often when Lin's not on the court, yet their efficiency drops so much? From the look of raw stats, seems they shoot the 3 ball better(obviously since Lin's a bad shooter), slightly better shooting(since Douglas mostly shoot 3s), worse at passing, worse at rebounding(both aspects Lin excels at), and better at taking care of the ball(bane in Lin's game). I can't really see how the Rockets would operate so much worse when the number suggest they're similar.

You are right, my bad. AN All-star, and someone on pace to be a superstar. Shown in most of his games that he can play like a superstar and is consistent.

Oh really...??? Please name that season. Because when he didn't have another star player with him and didn't have Phil Jackson, the Lakers where a lottery team and that's how they got to draft Bynum...
