I think the OP woke up too soon, but I like this senerio. Cousins' head bagage's worth the risk. I'm a Bud fan, but not a BOF. Bud & Parsons would be a good 3 combo.

 

I haven't seen Cousins play much, but his stats really suck. 41% FG pct and a head case to boot? Antoine Walker threw up a lot of points too.

 

Wait.....so you think Patterson, Douglas and Delfino are going to net 1st round picks?

Kevin Love would be a GREAT addition. A PF who can shoot and play defense. Only thing is he is not playoff tested so I'm not sure if his numbers will hold in the post-season. Nevertheless, he can give us more scoring options.

As much as I want Cousins is Rockets Red, I just can't see it happening, let alone it happening without Asik out.

But there some LOFs that would have Paul be the backup because Lin is Tom Brady.

Because if not, these are some of the worst suggestions i've seen in a long time.

We have a few posters getting rid of Omer Asik and Chandler Parsons.
People want to add Jared Jeffries and Steve Novak

Reading that anyone would want to trade Asik for a mid first round pick and then use that to trade for a couple of second round picks legit made me lose a few brain cells.

Sorry, but if you're talking about championships in the next 3 years, Cousins will not be a part of that team. Asik is a championship level center.

Josh Smith + Asik is much more appealing because Smith is a vet and we would have the absolute best defensive front court in the league. With Parsons and Smith being able to guard 2-4's and Asik defending the paint that seems far more dangerous. Plus, Lin would really play well with Smith.

 

That's not saying I wouldn't want to gamble on Cousins.
