In 1 years time, what would you like the Rockets roster to look like?

I like the Jeffries pick up but not as a starter. If Howard is on the team, Rockets would probably have a stretch 4 so it allows Howard to stay around the basket or cheese the PNR with Harden/Lin. If the Rockets can still use a Mini-MLE or MLE exception with the addition of Howard, then I think that spot still gets filled with another player or they start Morris.

But in your hypothetical lineup, does that mean Asik, Pat, TJones, and DMO get traded to the Lakers or Knicks?

I think our four is the weakest (again). Nothing wrong with the rest of our positions, just give them time. Honestly would like to see Dmo and Tjones get some time.

 

If Rox are going the Spurs route:

Duncan is the center piece
Tony Parker is a late first rounder
Manu is a second rounder
Danny Green is a second rounder
Kawhi Leonard Mid first round

Point is, you don't have to chase after every "super star". Focus on developing chemistry, scouting, and developing talent. Rockets don't need another star.

No big pickups YET, but we trade shipoff Asik for a mid 1st rounder, then ship that out for a couple of 2nd rounders, which is where Morey uses his magic to get good roleplayers.

I don't really see much need to go out there and sign an expensive FA this offseason. Al Jefferson and Josh Smith are the best fits for the team, and I don't think they'd be good signings for the price. I'd rather let the young PFs develop for a year and then see we're at going into free agency next offseason.
