Kobe's worse than Tracy McGrady they said,

Kobe's worse than D Wade they said,

Kobe's never going to win without Shaq they said.

Now he's worse than James Harden apparently

Nothing's gonna change. He is hated by almost everyone who isn't a Laker fan and a lot of Laker fans to boot. He rubs people the wrong way, he doesn't care what anyone thinks, normal schmoes do not like that. They want fake people that act like they care about what others think. That's why the people in this country keep voting for the same snakes in politics and fall for the same media ploys in any sport.

OK. I GET IT. BUT let me tell you something. It won't matter in the end. Kobe will probably pass MJ in titles, own the all time scoring record, smash records that will never get touched, and there won't a damn thing you can do about it. Kobe Bryant will be the name that lives down to the last echoes of the human race. "Lakers. Kobe Bryant. Lakers. Kobe Bryant. Champion." While you keep yapping about him being a ball-hog and how he isn't better then MJ, Kobe will continue to own everything in his sport.

Assuming he rounds off another 2k pt. season this year, He'll need 7k more points.

Malone's last full season was 81 games, 1667 pts to avg 20.6pts.

4 more full and good seasons after this season...

Can he play well @ 38 yro? Michael posted similar numbers to Karl @39 yro. He had breaks though, and I don't think Dwight would want him there if his whiny butt's still in LA.

I think he can challenge Karl for the 2nd all-time pts total though (~37k pts), but it seems like he can either have that goal or another title, not both.

I do think Kobe can get the all-time scoring record, and it should last until Durant breaks it. As far as the rest of his records, LeBron is already breaking most of them as his career passes. The only records Kobe really has are "youngest to" records and the fake ones they are creating now (ie oldest guy to drop 30 X games in a row).

It's kind of hard to believe to see the record the Lakers currently have right now, they have Kobe, Nash, Gasol, and Dwight n still lost tonight at home to Philadelphia. At this rate they're going to be fighting tooth and nail just to nab the 8th spot. Of course I don't really care about them so this is all entertainment for me

you may be right. 7k points just seems like a LOT. but he has pretty much lead the league in scoring the last 2 years. some people are just built like robots man.

    Smash what records?

He may end up the all-time leading scorer, but his career PPG is well behind Jordan's and so is his fg%. Grinding more years out to break the scoring record doesn't make him the best scorer. Keep in mind he has only 1 scoring title in his whole career. Jordan had 10. If if Kobe passes Jordan in titles, he only has 2 Finals MVPs right now.. Jordan has 6. How many MVPs does Kobe have compared to other greats?

    He'll just fail at that.

Kobe blames age for Lakers lack of energy; World Peace is having none of that. "Thanks for trying." :)

How do they expect to run and gun at this age? They should have just apologised to Phil Jackson.

Thank you Artest! What a bunch of whiny guys over there in LA, you have 4 freaking All-Stars in the starting line-ups. How can you still come up with all these excuses? With 3 All-Stars they were terrible and now with 4, you still cannot come up with something better than we're old? Please...

Kobe passing Jordan in scoring is akin to Mark Jackson and Kidd passing Magic in assists.

If they miss the playoffs, does he leave in free agency? The Lakers aren't getting any younger, Dwight is in his prime, and if they can't win now, what is the point of playing for them?

Second question... if they do miss the playoffs, does he go to Dallas? Houston? Somewhere else?
