yeah... the only road blocks are Spurs and OKC in the West...once we get them out of the way we'll be fine
I know I just registered, and someone probably said this already, but can we please not do this? Only h0m0s that root for the Lakers do this kinda crap... we're better than that.
Eh.... that's nice and all, but what other teams' fans think of my team don't really matter to me. I wouldn't really care what a Padres fan or a Royals fan would say about the Astros.
that's because you don't need an outside presence to justify you as a fan of the Astros. Hey, a Laker fan said that the Rockets are playing well, that makes me feel good.... NOT.
It's not about justification. It's all in good fun and for me at least it's interesting to hear the other team's perspective on things. That's why blogs often have guest blog writers share their points of view. Ima go ahead and just put up a QFTOS thread after each game for fun. Please don't hate too much.
blogs are from sports writers who are usually neutral. i guess if you find the read interesting, that's fine. but the only that should really make you feel good about the team, is the team.
Well, there IS an argument to be made that as fan bases of Other teams recognize the Rockets more as an up and coming team, that it can translate into better media coverage through fan blogs, which would lead to better coverage in the broader media, and that could potentially help us attract more Free Agents. Players are people too. They have family and friends that follow the sport. They also read newspapers and watch television despite their protests to the contrary. You never know when a casual conversation over the dinner table or while playing a video game, or a mention on a fan blog or sportscenter could plant a seed that could tip the scales when someone needs to make a decision....
Haha, just like this guy is a deceptively good singer  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8m1cP0ez_S8
Amen. It's a VERY short jump from "deceptively athletic" to "deceptively intelligent" or "deceptively law-abiding" or "deceptively patriotic".
Wah wah. Headline: Man in privileged class doesn't like hearing about how the others live. PS You're a blind idiot if you don't think there were no racial issues with Yao.
Because interesting and amusing comments are interesting and amusing even if they come from non-Rockets fans, and irksome pointless dull whiny curmudgeonly comments are irksome pointless dull whiny curmudgeonly even if they come from Rockets fans.
