    Thanks J.R.!

So his travel accommodations were met awhile ago but Royce is saying that the Rockets are declining his doctors' recommendations? I wonder what the other accommodations are that the org is declining...

Maybe the protocal requires something that Royce doesn't think he can get at RGV. And since he doesn't want to play in the D-League he has latched onto that as his rationale for not reporting.

It may not be that the Rockets currently declining anything, but only reserving the right to decline the recommendations of the doctors. Just guessing here. It may or may not be in the CBA. Thought I saw this mentioned in another thread, but maybe wrong.

So it sounds like Royce White is literally killing you with his tweets? You're on your hands & knees in a ditch, face bloodied, begging him for your life? Yeah right.

Infamous I would say. I bet every draft from now on most of this board will freak when we are rumored to be after risky players, and Royces name will be dropped.

Actually it sounds more like the Rockets don't want to give White exactly what he wants, so he's calling for them to implement a "protocol". For all we know that protocol involves him doing what he pleases.

Unfortunately White has missed a very salient point in his idiocy: The NBA is NOT an equal opportunity league. Disabled players do NOT get special dispensation so that they can play in a wheelchair. Short guys do NOT get special treatment (no blocking the shot of anyone under 5'7 guys...). Fat guys do NOT get a special rule (no fastbreaks if the opposition has 2 guys with more than 20% body fat). Mentally weak players do NOT get the rules changed for them (sorry guys, Kevin Martin disappears in the clutch so you can't guard him in the 4th any more).

We're not talking about a job at McDonalds here. This is an elite sport where only the best, mentally hardened athletes will succeed.

Anyway, if the Rockets give White what he wants, what's to stop Patterson getting on Twitter until he gets what he wants?
Bad news Royce: you've done nothing in the NBA, and the way you're going, you most likely never will.

I find it quite hilarious that he feels like an advocate for all the other 'invisible' guys in the NBA who have mental health issues. For some reason he's championing their cause even though they want to play NBA so much that they find a 'workaround' and get on with it AND manage to keep the whole mental side of things so quiet that nobody even knows about it.

    #BeWell ?
