He is like Monta Ellis meets Zach Randolph and smells like Chris Kaman

Probably Rafer Alston. Better finisher than Rafer, weaker shooter. Has more upside, but very similar numbers so far.

Lin's a better playmaker though, especially his ability to finish around the rim at an unreal rate. On a flipside, Rafer was one of the best ball handlers in the league.

His quickness to the basket reminds me of a pre injured Michael Dickerson.

That's accurate. Not sure if he has more upside then Rafer though. I think Rafer is his high end.

This thread is absurd. His style is nothing like the players he's being compared to hence Bob Sura and Rafer Alston.

Clutch, just curious, you do not believe Lin will become a star, right? Just wondering.

I understand what you're trying to say: Lin is obviously Magic Johnson and Bob Cousy combined!

No. Clutch said it in the season opening video he was expecting Lin to have just low or similar upside as Dragic ( i.e. semi-star level.)

I hate it when people discount what he did last year as a fluke and unrepeatable. What he did is doable as that was a direct result of his skillset not some lucky fluke where all his shots were going in in one game. He isn't beating his man off the dribble darn near every time because he's deceptively fast and the defender's not ready for it, he's just that fast. And he's gonna continue to do that for a large part of his career. His handle's not even that tight yet and he's still blowing by people!! His court vision is also not a fluke~ And no, not every pg has vision like that. His defense, albeit lacking at times, is also definitely a game changer. How can people not see that. And he's doing all this as a flawed youngster who will improve on his handles, finishing, TOs and shot. The sky's the limit in my opinion. Does anyone now really doubt that he has the ability to average 18 and 8 once he gains experience, consistency, and confidence? Why such hate?
