What do the hecklers hope to achieve? It only makes the situation worse. It gives Royce White a reason to think that people criticizing him are just mean-spirited and don't really understand what he's going through. If people really want White to see the error in his ways, they need to appeal to his sense of reason rather than antagonize him. Or better yet, just ignore him.

what if these belligerent tweeters are suffering deep anxiety themselves, perhaps by having their favorite sports team held hostage by a malingering scrub? then shouldn't they, by royce's own logic and reasoning, be given a pass and pardoned from this behavior? twitter clearly needs to create a platform and protocol to help its users feel comfortable, unthreatened, and healthy in the tweetplace..
Royce White belongs to Mental r****ded League, not National Basketball League. He does things that don't make sense...sure he has anxiety disorder....but if that is the case, why is he allowed to even tweet and make stupid remarks online. I questioned those that are close to him. Are they monitoring his behaviors and say hey Royce, you're not supposed to say that....that's uncalled for...? Because it sounds to me he's (incompetently enough to say the right thing) and nobody can do a thing about it. It's like some jerks tweeting online making dumb remarks....that's how i see it when i first read his tweets. It was shocking. it's unprofessional, immature and frankly i guess that's what it is....since he's only what?? 22yrs old?
Twitter people have no shame, I remember back when Brandon McCartney (baseball player) got a ball hit directly at his head and had to have some surgery and was at risk of dying, there was this one Rangers fan that threatened his wife by telling her something like he would "pat her a** and make her paralyzed husband watch." He then started cussing her out. I want to see Royce get on the court, but it doesn't seem like he even wants to play.
This. I've tweeted him a couple of times asking questions without any hate whatsoever. He never answered them or retweets them.
