Royce White refuses assignment to D-League (UPDATE: Rockets suspend him)

Only a fool would say he isn't milking the anxiety thing for all it is worth. For goodness sakes, he compared the level of his mental illness to that of a shooter!

No doubt his anxiety is real, but he's doing mental health awareness a massive disservice with his idiocy.

The problem with "putting him in a drawer" is you lose out on that roster spot, a spot you can use to find the next good player for the team. Royce White is an intriguing prospect, but he lacks a spot on the squad. Even when completely sane, he lacks the shooting touch and quickness to be an SF, and he lacks athletic ability and height to be a PF. His only hope is to become a "Power SF" ala Melo/Pierce/Metta, but that will entail a lot of hard work and days in the gym, not sitting on his ass tweeting about #transparency.

The rox have bent over backwards, forwards, sideways and every other way you can think off just for White, but instead of appreciating his team and his company he decided that playing in the dleague does not suit his #mental condition. Enough with the carrot, time for the stick. I hope the Rox file a suit against White and have him return every single penny he stole from the team. Meanwhile, suspend him without pay for every single day he refuses to go the dleague, and then refuse his demands to meet the team via bus. Have him go via flights, and then fine him each time he misses a flight.

 

If he's getting paid for doing nothing and Rockets keep fining him, essentially Rockets is getting their money back, right?

 

Well obviously dude will get flamed, he's making 1.6M a year. He should be able to provide for it himself. I don't think it's something that simple, if all you want is more expensive accomodations you can take out a loan to provide that and then pay it off when you get your wages.

 

I thought that fine was a once (or twice) kinda thing. We would definitely be hearing about it from Joyce's twitter if the Rox fine him for every practice/game he missed. #transparancy #fakeaxietysoldier #godiealready

To be honest, just know that every person on every level has their own set of problems. Millionaires have problems, entertainers have problems, veterans have problems, and so do the poor. Royce White has a LOT of problems...that go beyond money, if you get the hint.

 

Hey Royce, can you be more specific about what recommendations the Rockets have ignored that prevent you from wanting to play? Who are your doctors anyways, and what are their credentials?
