    White needs better advisors

Hi Guys...my first post and its great to read all your comments and ur insights... The Royce White topic is a real mess for all concerned and its surprising that Royce who has had a full year of college basketball behind him can complain and not try to get on to the court and atleast try and show his worth... If a college team with limited resources and limited finance can do enough to get Royce to play a full year...what is it that the Rockets are not doing for Royce to man up and try and make the best of the opportunities in front of him... I cannot believe that a team that is paying him to sit at home and tweet the whole day has not done whats necessary for him to go and PLAY...
We know the rockets are not an emotional team and with Morey and Les , they have a core which looks at the team as a Organization . They would do whatever needed to get the best out of a player that they have invested in...
Royce has played in worse situations and worse locations when it was needed.. By making all these silly excuses, he is kicking himself where it hurts every time he tweets... If he had agreed to go and and prove himself at the Vipers, he would have gained so much of support and sympathy for his cause..If something were to go wrong during his stint with the Vipers...he could then point out where the failure lies...by complaining and sitting at home...he is making the Rockets the 'wronged one' and is killing his career. By the times the fines are added up, he would not have made much in these 2 years... instead he has ruined his chance with all the other NBA teams....if he doesnt smarten up and save his rockets career...Good luck and good riddance to him

I hate to plow through 34 pps of folks primarily calling him a pos and a weakling- faker etc. I don't need the drama of the posters or Royce's drama for that matter.

All I really want to know is he still making it back as a Rocket player? I hope somehow he can help the Rockets who have suddenly become quite an interesting basketball team again.

He is doing individual practices? Is there any progess on possibly reporting to the D-League? I read the first page and could not tell and don't have the stamina for 33 more.

Jordan White, I agree 100%. It's good to hear a fellow sufferer of the disease that Royce is actually far from the role model and spokesperson for people with anxiety disorder. The only reason we're still talking about him is because he is talented and worth money. Other people would be fired so fast if they would publicly scold and mock the same organisation that indeed took a chance on him. But since he has 'special' gifts we are willing to put up with it and that is not helping. The Rockets have not dealt with this situation very well though. Keeping quiet and saying things are handled internally, only for it to blow up when anything becomes public is not the best way to handle this. Time to end this has come.

I really wish he wasn't mental. He would have been so good with Lin, Asik & Harden. White can ball. I guess it's all about fate. Let's see what happens.

WTF is wrong with him, what is wrong with playing in the d league, he needed to build up some decent credit with the Rockets organisation.

Just go and play a few games, its basketball for crying out loud. Shows he doesn't have a love of the game...

man, I wish OKC had taken Royce instead of Lamb...

For his mental health problems, he needs to be a starter, and voted into the All Star game... This is the doctor's recommendation...

This guy makes me sick. Everything from his victim mentality, to the stupid hash tags he uses when he tweets, to the tone of voice he has in accusing others and retweeting things that support his position.

And, the hypocrisy is the worst:

White: "blah blah blah .. Rockets not being honest ... blah blah support humanity ... #Transparency"
People: "Well let's be transparent and tell us how the Rockets are jobbing you over?"
White: "heh they're not doing what they're supposed to, that's all you need to know ... #Transparency"

Yes, it is obvious, you do have a mental illness. Lunatic.

    And then:

People: "Uhhh... who else on the planet gets to do this to their employer?"
    White: "Everybody! ADA..."

Please dude, as if immaturity and selfishness are now classified as disabilities.

    So basically;

    Misses Summer League...

    Finally plays in pre-season...

    Assigned to D-League... Can't go. #UnsafeEnvironment.

    Whines...

    Whines...

    Works-out with staff...

    Assigned to D-League... Can't go. #UnsafeEnvironment.

So basically, he doesn't want to play in the D-League, and believes he is first-squad material.

Royce would love for the Rockets to cut him. Don't do that. Fine him every practice and game he doesn't show up to and drain every dollar he was supposed to earn.

Don't talk about him, don't tweet to him, don't try anything. The attention is just proving to him that he is doing something right/wrong and that people are looking at him Just act like he's non-existent. Exactly how you would do with a child, or a self-centered hottie. Pretty soon (probably September 2013), he'll realize that there isn't anything left for him apart from accepting the Rockets rules. His #AnxietyTroopers fan-base will have severally dropped and he will just be a little story from the past.
    He will cave.

McHale's quote perfectly sums it up:“In our league, you know how it is: Out of sight, out of mind.”

This is Liars Poker, and the Rockets are playing perfectly their hand. Royce is becoming the public enemy, you can see that by his actions (desperately trying to be a poster-child for #anxiety when in fact he's just a spoiled brat). And every tweet, every declaration he makes is pushing him a little deeper into the hole he has dug).

It's pretty obvious to me that the "protocol" he wants everyone to follow is that he only has to play home games and nearby road games due to his flying anxiety, until he's able to better manage that anxiety (which may or may not last forever).

Kudos to the Rockets for being about 1,000 times more patient with this guy than I or most organizations would have been. If I had a new hire employee who collects a paycheck and refuses to show up saying too much anxiety I would just send them on their way. The Rockets have bent over backwards, sideways, jumped through hoops and are *still making attempts and overtures to establish a working relationship.

This is just proof that sometimes a person's personal issues are greater than any attempts at accommodation. The guy is infected with I'm a victim 'itis' and there's no getting around that. Only thing left to do is jettison and move on unless something extraordinary occurs.

The mentions about "support systems"... one of his demands was probably for the Rockets to bring in his best friend or blanket, paid with full access.

That borderlines Rodman territory, except Royce White aint no Jack Haley.

    Put Up or Shut up

Dear Royce, you claim to be speaking out for people with anxiety disorder. So after what has happened so far after the only team willing to take a chance on you, have you made it easier for anyone with your condition to be drafted into the NBA ? No sir you have pretty much slammed that door behind you.You had a chance, but you blew it.In the words of Coach Green you are who the other GM's thought you were.
