Despite all the conundrums surrounding this issue, I'm still far from concerned. Royce will turn himself around eventually. And looking ahead at the Rockets' development schedule, he's got plenty of time to do it, too.

This guy is a serious player and has serious talent. He is just concerned for his health and nothing more than that. You guys are acting like you own the business and are demanding production and revenue from your staff with total disregard to their personal situations. Guess you've all worked at KFC for too long.

Its not like as if this guy is complaining because he isn't getting the touches or isn't getting the playtime. Its not an ego issue. Nor is it a player attitude issue. The real issue is his mental health, and the only solution to that? Give him time. Plenty of time. He'll show the Association what he's made of once he gets back on the court in due time.

    How so?

The Rockets are going to do what they think is best for the Rockets, not what is the best or the worst for Royce White.

There remains little benefit to waiving Royce White. You don't get a draft pick back. No free agent still available at this point in the season have the same upside as White (they are available for a reason), and there are lower-upside guys (like Cook and Machado) that you can waive if you do want to open up a roster spot.

Now, the calculus can change in the future, but it hasn't.

I think there is a very good chance White will go postal once the Rockets start fining him for not showing up to RGV. If I were the Rockets, I would have armed guards at the practice facility and at the Toyota Center. Heck, I would even have an armed employee shadow White just in case White goes crazy. The employee would be in a position to put Royce down.

The funniest part about this is Whites upside is an average rotational player at best. In the limited action we did see of him - admittedly limited - he looked far from ready to compete in the NBA. He has limited outside shot and without that his offs dive re is reduced to occasional point forward in fast breaks. Defensively he looked anything but special.

The rockets are being smart here, but without a doubt would redo the draft if they could.

    He's a 6 8 fat Machado. Can't shoot, isn't overly athletic, can't finish around the rim, he's a flashy passer and that's it.

There is nothing the Rockets can do. When you hire someone with a know disorder you assume all of the risk that goes with that. As a result, from an employment law standpoint, the Rockets must go overboard to prove they have done everything possible to address his issues.

So the question is this, who should be held accountable: Once again this goes back to Morey and the front office for wasting this pick!

Morey pegged him at something like 10% chance of all star, 60% chance of bust (gotta roll that 7....), it's not like he was a mid range playoff team looking for some additional rotation help as is normal from a non lottery first round pick.

Heck if he knew he was going to get Harden, he would have probably gone with a more conservative asset like approach.

all because they say Morey thinks he is Borderline Top 5 talent
Morey's PR is spinning and never stops

Could very well turn out to be like Flynn
    this is another funny part

I just went in on Royce on twitter. No name calling just questions and comments that were not supportive of his #anxietytroopers that I'm sure he will not answer. He seems to like to retweet negative tweets toward him with the #bewell as the comment.

Do I feel better? Yea just a bit. I'd like it if he actually answered questions with real transparency and in English that we don't have to decipher.

This douche is really getting under my skin.

I think the most overwhelming stat in College was his rebounding number....9.3 rebounds...the passing was secondary

    This...

White can pass... But cannot shot, defend or rebound. I was never that excited about him. His upside is Anthony Mason...

I doubt it. You rarely see players with that size and skillset. His one year playing in college was a good one. It is safe to assume that he would have gotten better.

Flynn was a top 6 pick. Royce would just be another guy that didn't work out. Flynn was a bust.

so 7 pts 7 rbs and 4 assists in Summer League are better stats?
I'd rather have a tool than a canvas at this point.
Good to look at...not right now though...but can't be put to use

I don't think they are rare. Europe has a lot of those passing bigs. You just don't see much of them here.
