Yes, cardpire. By saying that Yates is better than Young, clearly that means I want him starting over Matt Schaub next year.
i cannot believe that i have to explain this to you. for the reasons that he says that yates is better than vince young, yates would also have to be better than matt schaub. was just making sure that he understood that. and i'm still not sure what you could possibly not understand. maybe another poster who doesn't have a personal bias against my posts can help you better. i'm not a good teacher, i guess.
who is a "more proven winner"? yates or vince young? who is a "more proven winner"? yates or matt schaub?
you want someone who is a proven winner yet you want the Texans to sign Vince Young. i think that's where your logic fails.
Houston had a chance to get him but passed and stuck with noodle arm Schaub. Manning is leading the Broncos with an MVP season while Schaub is throwing two interceptions and no TDs in week 17. Thank God we stuck with Schaub!!!
Well this discussion is a moot point now, cause Manning is in Denver getting ready to head to another SB. Where are all the Schaub lovers now. I guess they are going to become apologists or make excuses.
It was a moot point from the start, since there was no financial way to get Manning into a Texans uniform based on what we know about the contract he eventually signed.
That's a fair point, but we will never know. Hell he might have taken less to play here. Who knows? Warm weather and a Dome, I would have at least given it a shot. But I know they probably didn't want to hurt baby Schaub feelings or Kubiac didn't want to give power to Manning as he would have had to do.
Nope, Manning was asking for too much money, and what do you want to trade him for? the player or draft picks we would get for him, would still have to be paid. Manning wanted money, and the texans didnt had money.
Jesus Christ STFU... Only on clutchfans will you find people saying they would rather have schaub over Peyton ****ing manning.
lol. never, ever, ever have i said that. that post was for all you folks who like to claim elite QBs NEVER throw game ending INTs.
Please find me one post that says that. Not calling you a liar or anything but I can't recall a single post that claimed elite qbs never throw game ending int's.
when matt schaub throws a pick six, one of the first thing that anti-schaubers post is "an elite QB doesn't do that" or "elite? lol." that pretty much implies it. i would have loved to have Peyton Manning after seeing what he did this year. I doubted him in the beginning. but we'd ahve to literally gut our team to even sign him. and when it counted most, he failed.
