VERY GOOD move by the Rockets. He's a player. Greg Smith kind of steal.

Rockets must be high on Anderson if they are cutting Cook's $3M deal.

It will be tough for the Rockets to swallow the rest of Cooks contract. If they waive him, I would expect that there will not be any major trades coming up in february with major salaries involved. They needed his salary involved to make any major deal work.

    GO POKES!

(Sadly, haven't been impressed with his nba career from the little I've seen - apparently neither were Spurs, but in Marray we trust.)

I wonder how high the Rockets had him on their 2010 Draft Board...

Great news, Cook was terrible, almost as bad as the other cook.

It's really weird for the Rox just to cut Cook's salary though. They must really like this kid. But if they do, why didn't they give him an invite during SL?

Good, now can Anderson be the first wing off the bench instead of Delfino? Thanks.

I actually wanted him to get some run; he was productive (enough) when in (in his limited minutes).

I suppose in Morey we trust.

In the pre-season I was disappointment that we waived Shaun Livingston and kept Toney Douglas, and thought the decision was purely financial. But as it turns out, Douglas has been putting up better numbers than Livingston.

Hopefully both Beverley and Anderson will turn out to be great pick ups for us.

I wonder if this will have any effect on Harden, as he seems to be close to Cook & Aldrich.

I don't know if Anderson will be any good or not, but at least we have another young player that might develop into something. Cook had been in the the league for five years and was nothing special, so I think replacing Cook with Anderson makes sense. Same thing with Beverley, if one of these guys becomes a solid rotation player then Morey looks like he finds something for nothing. Worth a shot.
