I haven't been to the Rio Grande area in years but surely it can't be THAT bad?

Don't get White at all, spending the season in the D-league seemed a given and frankly for him, I would think a blessing as it would allow him to ease into the NBA lifestyle while improving his playing so that he can actually see the court next season. As he is now, I can see the Rockets cutting him because McHale is just the type to not let him see the court at all this season.

This is honestly unreal. I've been sitting here in shock for a few minutes formulating things to tweet Royce. Not rude things, just honest questions... the whole thing is incredible at this point.

If someone has a broken leg, and they can't play because of that broken leg, you may think mental illness is different (sure there's an implicit representation, but that's when fit), but it isn't and it's sure as anything that then NBPA has it treated much the same.

The question is really going to come down to good faith and dealings with his rehabilitation, that's why his tweets were so stupid in the past.

Royce sounds like he's been blindly letting people behind the scenes handle everything, and that he's speaking out when he has little knowledge of the situation other than what those people have told him.

It has to be something that he knows is ridiculous like unearned PT or waive Harden because his beard is so much better that it make me sad to be in the same room...something that deep down he knows is unrealistic.

At this point he is nothing more than a mentally disturbed scam artist. The Rockets are just trying to put an end to this chapter with a poop or get off the pot plan.

It sounds like Royce has set his filters up in such a way that any legitimate criticism of him automatically gets transformed into him thinking that people just don't understand.

There may be a high number of idiots in the world who don't understand, but I'd guess that most people do.

Here's what I'd say to Royce (as if it mattered, but anyway):

You are always going to be uncomfortable in unfamiliar places/situations. Always. You have an anxiety disorder. That means you're going to have to expend effort to do things that other people have no trouble doing. That means other people may have trouble understanding what you're struggling with. That does not mean that you can demand that other people alleviate your discomfort - because they can't. You have an anxiety disorder. It will probably be with you for your entire life. People will help when they can, but that does not mean your discomfort with unfamiliar places/situations justifies hiding in your house and doing nothing.

I'll say it once again: The fact that a situation makes you uncomfortable does not mean that situation is unfair. You will probably always, for your entire life, feel uncomfortable in unfamiliar situations...

My grandfather, in a family where many of the members suffer from some degree of mental issues (and some with serious disadvantages), once gave me some of the best advice I've ever heard: "It's easier to wear slippers than to carpet the world."

No one can carpet the world for you, and it's unreasonable to expect them to. Get your slippers on Royce, and stop making excuses.

Even if Rio Grande is ghetto as hell, Royce of all people should be mindful of others living far far far below his current means.

    Show some #humility dick.

White doesn't deserve to be a Rocket.

He should leave the organization for his mantle illness.

I wouldn't be surprised if todays tweets made headline news. That was pretty low. Talk about bad timing.

Can we not talk about this guy anymore? It's really a waste of energy. We could be spending these energy figuring new innovative rotations and the advantages and disadvantages of them. Instead we waste time with this clown and his tweets. The day he starts acting more professional is the day when we can talk about this guy again.

Royce, if you don't like the Rockets, just quit and give up your salary/spot for someone who is more deserving.

This has nothing to do with mental illness and EVERYTHING to do with the fact that his ego won't let him go to the 'D' league. nothing more.

The question you should be asking is why does he think he is better than the d league? Also what does d league have to do with mental illness? just keep asking it over and over again.

People that keep buying in and feeding in to his 'illness' are falling for it hook line and sinker.. this is only about playing time and not putting in the work and the stigma of the letter 'D'.

he thinks he is better than everyone else to a weird point that he is using this illness thing as a distraction to somehow get him on the NBA court.

I wouldnt be surprised if dude offs himself. Then we can all sit around beating ourselves up because we didnt let him start, and get every shot and every accolade the poor misunderstood guy thinks he deserves. He is the victim always. We are the man bringing him down for not letting him bang my sister, daughter, dog etc.. We are are all evil. boo hoo royce white we should have a pity party for him and demote the whole team to d league as a sign of solidarity that he is the next coming of naismith. We should have a golden straight jacket award in his honor.

We should all blood let a little and pray that he doesn't alter the deal further. This is his world and we are all just living in it. I left my door unlocked he can have my first kitten. I am going to start wearing a wrist band that shows I am with him in his martyrdom. Iowa state is the new holy land btw.

Rockets are not chopping White...due to the reasons below

    1) they will looked stupid for drafting him and then giving up...

2)facing legal messy legal action from white

    3) look more stupid if another team signs him and he works out with them

I'm seriously annoyed with this guy. The Rockets tried to work out a deal with him and have him assigned to D-League and he went out and stated that all the support he got from the Rockets are nonexistent and incorrect.

Yes we all know he has mental illness and the Rockets would help him as much as they can but they don't have time for someone like him. He's not that great of a player for a franchise to spend all their time and energy into. It's either meet the Rockets halfway or just stop playing Basketball altogether. The Rockets have better things to worry about and they have their core of players to tend to and if Royce doesn't want to be part of that core, then just stop giving the organization a headache.

I'm really unhappy with how royce has always been going about this.

He can probably kiss any career goodbye.
