Acceptance is the last stage of grief. Good to see Donny has accepted the mediocre QB the Texans extended for 4 more years.
it's almost as if you enjoy mediocrity... and that's just sad embrace change, donny! embrace improvement! it doesn't have to be this way.
Sorry, we're not going to find a new QB that can perform better than Schaub in the next 3 years. I'd rather not flush this window of opportunity down the toilet because of a couple regular season losses. Yep, I'm way ahead of the curve, as opposed to you guys sitting in the anger stage.
He didn't play well today, the week before that, and the week before that, and... you get the rest. Schaub has reached his ceiling and we have all seen it. This new crop of QBs has pushed Schaub even further down the list. He doesn't have a strong arm. AJ is always bailing him out, as are other receivers. He has no deep ball accuracy and can never hit a receiver in stride, unless he is playing in Denver where that thin air throws him an assist. He is a very good backup QB. Texans need to spend a 1st or 2nd on a QB next year, or see what Keenum has. Not sure if Yates is the answer either, but I'll take a QB that can make plays and evade tacklers over one that crumbles up and falls down with one arm. Hell, I'd take a flyer on Vick next year and see what he can do in this extremely friendly QB offense the Texans run.
I think this team is good enough to get a lesser statistical Qb with balls(Flynn) than a 4000 yd per season p***y (Schaub) and have the same success... if not better
Right after a disappointing loss, so it's expected for people to kneejerk and be all emotional. But the plain truth is, Matt is what he is, and he's not going anywhere. If you don't think we can win with him, then feel free to take your things and GTFO the bandwagon. You can come back after Matt is gone. It'll be best for all of us.
He's due 15 million, and you still owe Schaub guaranteed money. There goes your O-Line spending spree.
Preaching to the Chior bro. I just watch and laugh just like 2010. Nothing's gonna chance next year. Bob has his Ox and he's gon' get in deep **** with it.
exactly - you measure success in regular season wins and meaningless stats. winners measure success in lombardi trophies. you're perfectly happy w 12-4. good for you.
LOL. Yeah, by the time that OL matures, Vick will be 35 and probably out of the league. Look, I know today was disappointing, but there are no quick fixes for this. We ride with Matt. b****ing and being miserable and defeatist about it isn't going to make his contract expire any sooner.
The playoffs haven't started. How am I supposed to be happy with something that hasn't even happened yet?
