They should've just re-cast James Franco, honestly. He was underutilized in the previous trilogy.

Maybe they tried and couldn't get him. If I were him, I wouldn't want to be in it.

 

The only thing amazing about Spiderman was that people actually liked the movie. I was amazed at how terrible it was.

 

Tried to watch it. Turned it off when the new Aunt May and Uncle Ben came along. The tone was wrong. It tried to be more edgy with more realistic depictions of teen life and that just isn't the point in a superhero movie. The old trilogy was cheesy as hell but that's what you want to see.

 

I don't mind Franco as an actor, but thought he was totally miscast as Osborn. He looks and acts nothing like Harry in the comics. Harry is not some studly looking dude. He was even dorkier than Peter Parker.

 

Then recast Tobey Maguire, but as Harry. The hilarity...!
