Stupid comments about asians/chinese. The two games I attended at Toyota Center in November, I saw a lot of non-asians wearing jerseys and t-shirts with Lin's name and number on them. I also saw a lot of asians wearing non-Lin jerseys/tees. This is the 21st century and people are still so narrow-minded. Maybe those people should take a break from watching basketball and watch some news, explore the world, do some volunteer work, finish their education...
@ Alex, I remember the last time you were at Houston you watched 2 Rockets games - both won. Maybe you should watch it more often or you watch - whatever movie it was you are watching when we won... don't watch game if not live maybe we will be in the playoffs sooner than later.
Haha...that's not fair. I watched all 30 games live, either at the arena, on TV, or on League pass. I have a 16-14 record. Can't blame me #HardenDrawsFoul
There are many fans who support the player deep inside the heart, watch every single match and need not speak it loud or publicly. Nothing can change their passion, so why bother keep busy in forums
Lin. Basketball was my youth love. I was good at it. Watched some NBA then. Not much. Then tennis. Witnessed the best years of US pro tennis players..... Then golf. Tiger Woods. I play mostly golf now. Only follow NBA now because Lin. His basketball story, his unselfish team play and team win style are so entertaining to watch and enjoyable. That is what a basketball game supposed to be. Otherwise those so called basketball superstars with so much athletic talent can play golf and ba an average Joe out there. Love this team and players.
They love to post their opinions. But we have LOH vs LOF situation in Clutchfans here. If you are a Lin fan, you are automatically a LOF and not a true Rockets fan. LOH thinks Lin is overpaid, overrated, underperformed, below average PG,Dleague player,a scrub,etc... Why increase your blood pressure? Just go watch the game and vote!
Here is the thing, with the exception of Dleague player and scrub, You can easily argue Lin is overpaid, overrated, underperformed, and a below average starter at the very least.
People don't want to have to apologize or explain themselves when they like Jeremy lin. THEY JUST DO. Nobody can be force to not like Jeremy Lin, picking on Jeremy Lin endears him to fans even more.
Very interesting poll results. Either Lin became the favorite player for a lot of Rockets fans or a ton of Lin fans signed up for this board when Lin was signed. Probably it's a bit of both. One thing Lin has in spades is that he has a flair for drama. From his crazy rise from the end of the bench on the Knicks to lead them back into the playoff race, his miserable game in Miami, knee injury, his signing with Houston, Miami airball, Spurs 38 point explosion, 2 wins against the Knicks, Lin is just a magnet for story lines in both his success and failures. His play on the court can be wildly schisophrenic. One moment, he may have a stretch of plays were you may think he doesn't belong in the league, then suddenly he can make plays where you may think that maybe he can be something special. Either way, I'm a fan and enjoying watching Lin's NBA journey.
LOF aren't that bad actually. LOF wants rockets win in fact. They want Lin perform good and team wins. They won't be happy if Lin's unhappy. And Lin's only happy when Rockets' winning! LOH/LOFH actually, they don't care if rockets win or not. They just want Lin failed and LOF cried. While Lin failed usually led to a rockets loss, they can't care that much cause they cared about too much about LOF. They can't enjoy rockets win any more like LOF. Thats an obvious dead end if keeping this mindset till the season end. They screw up either admitting they were wrong, disappearing, opening another account or just quit supporting rockets when Lin is still here playing. LOF will only be gone when Lin's left (3years from now) or actually failed(not any time soon I guess). LOF still wins. While I am a Lin fan, Parsons fan, Harden fan, Yao's fan, rockets fan, we care about the team, nothing else. But I got to admit, when rockets win and Lin for some reason is still contributing to that win, I enjoy the game a lot. But I can imagine those fans who dislike/hate him, they will never enjoy that win as much as we do!:grin:
Methinks you're over complicating it. 1. LOF's only care about Lin's numbers. 2. LOF-H's only care about the Rockets winning. But there are only a handful of each type of poster so I am not sure why so much time is spent "defending" extreme positions. Any rational Clutchfan wants Lin to do well and for the Rockets to win. The problem is when people start labeling you because have a different opinion than they do.
