There should be a rule, never to eat with the other side. :)

For you Rockets fans who (in theory) watch Jeremy Lin play more, how DOES HIS SHOT LOOK?

Watching the highlights isn't always a good indicator. I wonder if Jeremy Lin needs to stick to shooting long two point shots instead of trying to shoot three's? I only say that from personal experience.

In the years that I've played rec league and pick up ball, I don't shoot many three's. I'm great from 15 to 17 feet and in. Many of the guys I play with know I am a good mid range shooter. My guess it's a combination of my form / strength (hardly the strongest guy on the court).

For Jeremy, It seems he can the corner three which is shorter. Maybe he needs to step in and start shooting the long two's. The only person I can think of in the NBA that didn't shot a lot of three's was Monta Ellis in his early years. He was a driver / slasher and 15 to 17 foot jump shooter.

Not to bash TD, but at first glance the only thing to not pass the smell test is TD's #. How can he have a 13.4 when his pure +/- was so high? I know he padded his stats with pts and steals playing in garbage time, but he also was on the floor duing most of OKC's 16-0 run before halftime.

My theory -- McHale wanted to throw away this game and rest the starters without being obvious, ala doing the Pop thing without provoking Stern's attention.. However, the bench esp Aldrich were playing so terrible that they cannot keep the blow out margin small enough to be decent... So the starters ended up playing more than planned...

Now, this should be the reaction after a loss to a great team. No bashing and pulling down. We are 7-3 on games #21-30.

just have fun and enjoy the ride!

F$&@ jeremy, run the play and dont go camping out there. Smh! Hahaha.

Is it just me or does Delfino's absence really affects this team?

I know he was out for a stretch earlier this season as well and I think we played pretty poorly then as well.

I'm not saying that we would've beat the Thunder (or the Spurs yesterday) had he played, but I definitely feel like the game would've been closer than a 30 point blowout.

Your absolutely right. It can affect the team a lot. Although he can be a streaky shooter, when he's on, he's on. I think with him, we could have possibly beaten the Spurs.

Delfino can definitely help, but I feel the blowout has more to do with our energy (or the lack of) more than anything. To be fair, our starters played major minutes last night, and that was 48 minutes of uber up-tempo running.

I'm trying to put myself in Jeremy's shoes and pretend I'm defending the opposing PG, and one of the main reasons I think he's going under the screen is because the opponent sets really good picks and gives him no space to stay in front. If not under the screen, the only choice would be to run smack into the pick.

If he followed his check from behind, that would just allow Westbrook to drive...and we already know that Lin's teammates just don't switch and cover for him in the paint.
So I think Lin knows that he needs to stay between Westbrook and the basket at all times, and let Westbrook take the outside shot if necessary.

Can someone explain to me how else he could NOT go under the screen and stay with Westbrook?

Good question. I'm going to watch the next matchup between OKC and the Spurs to see how Westbrook handles the Duncan screens for Parker, and how Parker defends the Durant screen for Westbrook.

i think punishment for fumbling the ball. Unfortunately without him there is a hole in the defense

Delfino is also a very good defender and on offence he is a solid playmaker.
