The fact that the Raptors have been playing much better basketball without Bargnani than with is suspicious to say the least.

Spot on CH. I actually like Bargnani, and think that he's much better than he's showed this year. But he's not that 2nd franchise piece. We shouldn't tie up $11 mil per for the next few years on a guy who isn't Hardenesque.

If you're going to tie up the cap space with Bargnani's contract, then you might as well sign Paul Millsap for the max for equal length instead of trading for him.

Jefferson can be had for Patterson, Aldrich and Cook but Jazz will not make that trade so I would rather sure up our defense and bench with Stuckey and Prince with a package Cook, Douglas, Aldrich and Patterson. I think Detroit will take this so they can rebuild...sorry to add other players to the thread but Andrea does not play defense so we do not need him.

    new nine man rotation

    Lin
    Harden
    Parsons
    Morris
    Asik

    Bench

    Stuckey -great perimeter defender
Delfino - you know what he does
    Prince - great defender
Smith - taller hayes ( hustler)

Bench actually gets more smarter with establish veterans coming in

Bargnani is too much like Montiejunas.

    The Rockets need a rebounding/defending 4.

We need to focus on SOMEHOW acquiring Josh Smith or Kevin Love. End of story.

    No Bargnani
I followed the Raptors when Toronto was still competitive and made the playoffs.
After Bosh left the team, its been downhill since.
Bargnani is too soft and calls his own team worst in the NBA , (which was true at the time in early Dec), then gets injuried and the Raptors start a winning streak without him.
He's too injury prone and not worth 10 mil/year.
    He's injury prone,

The Spurs should get him, they have some pieces and S-Jax expiring. He'd be the new and improved Bonner.

give them patterson since we are basically trading for the same player rebounding wise.

interested to see what team is dumb enough to trade for bargnani and lock up $11mm for the next 3 years. I can only see this happening for some other crappy contract or group of contracts unless they package lowry or something else of value with the deal.

The thing with Ryan Anderson is he's a decent rebounder.

He contributes not just with his outside shooting but also with his rebounding.

He's actually capable of elite rebounding if he actually intends it or wills it.

Bargnani is a shooting guard in a 7 foot frame. absolutely soft worthless in the frontcourt.

Novak actually has greater value than Bargnani because Novak is a difference maker when he's dropping bombs.
