I'm not too crazy about high-usage Matt Bullard even at 5 million / year, let alone 11 million and 12 million.

In a general sense, the Rockets aren't really in the business of bailing out other GMs who award bad contracts any longer. The Basketball Reasons trade was sort of the last stab at that. They're doing their own thing now. Good production at a good value. It's unclear how Andrea Bargnani fits with that philosophy.

    Wrong Italian.

Gallinari would be kinda interesting as a stretch 4 for us, though. Think Rashard Lewis ORL days.

Bad timing obviously with Gallinari just coming off a huge game, but I've seen some Denver fans wanting to trade him or Iggy, thinking they don't fit together too well, which I'd tend to agree with, if Iggy is your 2 and Gallo the 3 and the rest of your lineup consists mostly of a bunch of non-shooters.

Not sure if there's anything the Nuggets would be interested from the Rockets directly (don't see it, really), but of course there's always the 3-way angle. :)

Maybe in two years for $5 million per season. As a stretch four who knows his role he would be a nice addition.

Is Lebrun on the trading blogs, too? Always wanted to see what type of trades Lebrun would blog about.

If Morey turned down Dragic over a player option because it inhibited his flexibility to rebuild, there's no way he's going to take on Bargs.

Pass on Bargnani. He's too one-dimensional and would actually make the defense worse.

    Wow.

Do you guys not watch other teams at all. Because here's the not very hidden secret about Bargnani....

He's not very good at offense either.

His TS% is .485, which is horrible in general and holy mother of god bad for a big. His 3PT% is worse than Patterson and Morris. It's in fact at a miserable 32%. His FG% is under 40% FOR A BIG. How do you do that.

He nearly has negative Win Shares ( and the Raptors have been visibly better with him gone), his defense and rebounding are legendarily bad, he's been in this league for six years and is 27 and thus has no potential, and he's owed 23 million dollars after this year, when Morey has openly stated that he intends to use this cap room this free agency this offseason to get a good player. Bargnani is easily on the short list for worst players in the league this year, and anyone who thinks we should get him has no freaking clue what he's talking or has never followed the Raptors this year.

My answer. We already have a Bargnani type prospect in Motiejunas (a few really, including Royce White).

There's several players around Bargnani's price range that are better options. Paul Millsap, Al Jefferson, Gallinari, Danny Granger. There will also be a team or 2 at the trade deadline that might make a sudden move, where you can get a Pau Gasol or someone. NOT saying that there's a GOOD chance to get those players, but a 10% chance at Paul Millsap is better than 50% chance at Bargnani

Doesn't look like Denver would trade Gallo. I wouldn't if I were them.

On the other hand, nobody was expecting them to trade Nene so soon after signing him to a large contract, either, so there is a small chance, but only if Gallo gets stuck in the same funk that he was in early this season and the Nuggets keeps floundering around .500.

i think its mainly because mcgee is healthy and athletic to keep up with their high pace game. nene is a little old and injury prone

Different situation. A big reason Nene got traded was that Kenneth Faried developed way ahead of schedule in his rookie season, making Nene both expensive and expendable.

Is anybody knocking on the door behind Gallo at the 3 and 4? Maybe Wilson Chandler heals up and the Nuggets are faced with the same wing player timeshare the Knicks had to deal with before the Carmelo Anthony trade, but outside of that? There's a non-zero chance but it's still highly, highly unlikely they part with Gallo this season.

He is good though but would rather try to get Love or Jefferson
