Block out the 5 turnovers by each, & Harden/Lin/Parsons had a MONSTER game. Not only 78pts, but 20 assists, 17rebounds, 7 steals. #RedNation

    Btw, Duncan/Parker/Ginobli had 12TO.

Agree, only TD and Asik are at plus side, really? I thought Asik had a bad game.

I would say we can beat the Pistons with four of our starters, but the Pistons beat the Heat today.

yeah, but when you are always 3 feet away, you should be held accountable. If he contested and Green still made the shot, we'll say 'great offense' but this is not the first time we've seen Harden take time off on the defensive end. This one cost us early.

What do you expect McHale to do? Bench him? We would be losing far worse if that happened.

And about the post talking about why we don't set screens to set Harden up like Hamilton, we're getting there. We are a young team. Setting screens correctly is probably the hardest part of the game to learn.

But Harden can get into foul trouble playing D too...

Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't...

Actually Amare might be a REALLY good pickup. Rockets are playing great mimicking D'Antoni's "7 sec or less" offense. STAT's best years were with D'Antoni. Knicks are looking to get rid of him so Rockets may be able to get a good deal.

My issue with this we are a young team narrative is that it is a excuse. The Rockets are doing great things right now, things that teams as young as us rarely ever do, which is play really good basketball. When the Rockets are successful we saw oh wow this is so crazy for such a young team. When the Rockets struggle we saw it is ok we are young we will get better. You can't have it both ways.

In regards to Harden's D McHale is developing really poor habits. If it was any other player not named Harden that was as lazy on D as James McHale would sit him. What kind of message does that send to the rest of the team who give effort on D (once again not asking for great D but some effort) & Harden is allowed to slack off?

because we don't have a pick and pop big man, we can only run the pick and roll.

It's a lot easier to guard when you know it doesn't have the pop variation.

Parker just destroyed us, he was the difference in this game. Lin can't handle him, but I am not sure anyone can. They should have tried a zone.

Also no one will give credit to Patterson whose rotation defense was sorely missed tonight.

In the 1st quarter, when the Spurs could not miss a 3 PT shot, and the Rockets looked sluggish out the gate, I thought it might be over. The Spurs played as well as they could in this game, they shot 57 percent, including 50 percent from 3PT, and yet, we hung with them. Think about that, for a young team, that has only played together for two months.

The Rockets did not shoot free throws well tonight (15/26). If they had shot 91 percent like Spurs did, or even 85 percent, they would have won. They can improve in this area.

But the ball movement, getting everyone involved, getting the steals and turnovers, running everything at such a fast pace -- they already almost have it down.

They logged more assists than the Spurs (27-21).

All this in the 3rd game in a 4 day stretch, when they were traveling almost every day. I think they did really well.

And since we had to sit Omer so much because of fouls, he will be better rested for the OKC game. : ) Bring it on.

A lot of these shots weren't because of Harden being lazy, but the Spurs moved the ball extremely well and forced players to rotate, rotate, and then rotate.

The Rockets team defense is not really there yet to stop it. It's not like Green was the only guy getting open shots. Manu got them...pretty much every shooter they had got them. It's because of their system and ball movement.

Hell when Harden went out they then went on a tear again to close the game out. So it's not all on Harden.

The man has a point... PPatt might have been slow on the help D at times but at least it was there. Not having help D killed us in this game.

What I see is when the Rockets are doing great things that teams this young shouldn't be doing, you act like it has nothing to do with the coaching staff. And when we lose by 6 to one of the best teams in the league on the road on the 3rd game in 4 nights, all the monday night quarterbacks are out of the woodworks telling us what the coaches did wrong.

I'm not saying the coaches are perfect, but they are doing a hell of a job.

And I'm not telling you to STFU, but it is starting to get pretty ****ing annoying.

What? It's pretty logical. This uptempo running game is very much like D'Antoni's Suns. Amare is a proven 20pt scorer with decent rebounding skills. He's definitely a upgrade over Morris or Paterson. And the Knicks really don't want him anymore. Only weakness is defense.
