I don't sleep at night, I work...to make sure scum like this try to shoot me instead of you in your bed.
I wonder what scenario the defense will come up with. Should have taken him to Huntsville instead of the hospital.
Another crazy article... http://news.yahoo.com/husband-slain-wis-cop-arrested-her-death-140253161.html
i hate to get this moved to the d&d, and this is no disrespect to law enforcement, but that cop should have called for backup
I think you misinterpreted BigTexx. He's not blaming the religion (Islam).. I think he's actually defending Quanel X by qualifying his statement. Quanel X can't believe the shooter is accused of shooting a cop because he KNOWS the shooter and can't believe he's CAPABLE of shooting the cop. He's not saying that the shooter didn't actually commit the crime..just that he never seemed like the person to do something like that. Words can easily get misconstrued in text. Its like if your little sister shot a cop and you'd probably say "I can't believe my sister is accused of killing a cop". Your not saying she did not do it...you just can't believe it.
PS I don't blame Islam. I don't believe Quannell and this Harold Lewis guy are Muslim. I don't care what they call themselves.
Time to ban guns. And the cop who is an expert with guns still got shot dead. There goes the NRA's argument about protecting our kids with armed guards.
Honestly . . . I have resisted this thread a bit Just sending my condolences because. . . . well Would it be insensative and point out that . . . this is the department that shot a black kid in front of his own house . . for no reason There no justice in that case no Conviction . . no civil suit . . .just another day in bellaire http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robbie_Tolan_shooting_incident So . . . why are we surprised when another kid is a little bit weary of the cops in that area? I know I am always scared driving through Bellaire . . . Vidor-Like. I wish that the officer and the bystander wasn't dead I wish this incident did not happen I have the deepest sympathies for the families of all involved. We cannot become all misty eye ONLY for one side of the equation Rocket River . . . and off to the D&D
He did have a backup unit responding. They arrived at the same time that the Maaco manager was being shot. Just watched the video of it when I got to work tonight and the media COMPLETELY misinterpreted their "accounts" of the situation. This was not a situation where a felony takedown was needed (get on your P.A. and give verbal commands to exit the vehicle), this was simply a traffic stop that took the ultimate wrong turn. If we waited on a backup unit for every traffic stop then they would have to double the manpower and ultimately cost you, the taxpayers, more when most city governments don't like paying for the amount of cops they have now. Our job is dangerous. We all know the dangers associated with it and it is very irresponsible of you to critic they tactics taken by Sgt. Norman when you have not been trained yourself in this field. Just mourn the loss of two innocent people making a living and leave the criticing to the professionals who have to learn from this incident in order to help protect ourselves on a daily basis. That is all for me on this topic as I feel that it is edging closer and closer to a D&D and that is not where this needs to go. Of anybody wants information about Sgt. Norman's funeral and memorial fund that has been set up in his name feel free to PM me. Cheers
