I just need to know how to broadcast the feed in HD, as I search and all I get are basically how to find streams of tv not broadcasting it.
So, I picked up the phone today to call Directv. I had called my current internet & phone provider to get a package price before I called so I knew the options. I must say, Directv bent over backwards for me to keep me on board. I got a $35 bill credit for 3 months, $30 bill credit for the next nine months & every movie channel & hd channel they had for free for 6 months to stay. I'll stick to internet streams to catch my Rockets as I feel like for the long term, Directv as a provider has my best interests at stake. Can't say the same for the team I've followed for 20+ years as a diehard fan that would include me mowing yards as a kid to buy the pay-per-view playoff games of the 90's [I bought every single one of them!] as well as a three time season ticket holder during the Tmac/Yao era who frequented the concessions for overpriced beer. Sad. Oh well.
I relate to this post. Also, I refuse to buy anything from a business that obviously does not care whether or not I can enjoy their product. If you don't care about having me as a customer, I won't be one. I'll just find other things to do with my limited free time.
I would just like to remind everyone the Comcast Sportsnet Houston has a facebook page. Who knows if it will make any difference, but you can blow off some steam. http://www.facebook.com/csnhouston?fref=ts
Their Facebook page is actually a pretty fun read. I would venture to guess that 95% of all comments on their status updates are people complaining about not being able to get the channel.
What a gigantic f up for the Rockets. Losing fans left and right. Their home attendance is like 3k less per game than their road attendance. They have to give away tickets to have people sign up on that stupid website.
Can this process work on the iPad? I would like to watch league pass on IPad or Apple TV. If it works on iPad, I can use "air play" to put it on my big tv through Apple TV
Nice haul. Why in the world everyone does not do this I will not know. Call your provider and tell them you want the channel, and do it for you. You get a financial benefit for sticking with them, and it registers with them one more who wants the channel because they lost money based on that demand. Win-win. I used to think that was just giving CSN more money, but that's not it. Those providers are not even willing to sit down to negotiate... and they won't unless there is a demand. The providers aren't going to disappear. CSN Houston isn't going away. Unless fan demand pushes these two parties together to figure out their business, it's going to be a long time with things staying the exact same way.
If you want to watch rockets games on your iPhone. This is what you need NBA league pass. And VPN express. It switches your IP address. Allowing you to watch blacked out games Here's a video I made of it working http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAxS1Iw81Sk&feature=youtube_gdata_player
