Nancy Wilson has got to be the most purposeless band member ever. They should just call it Ann Wilson and friends.

Robert Plant almost looks like he's sad. It has to be rough when you can't sing/perform anymore when that's all you've done your whole life.

35yrs after their start Heart is still an amazing live band. They did Zep's Rock and Roll the last time I saw them and it was amazing.

He can still sing and perform. He can't do what he did back in the 70's but I think he's still good. His 2010 album "Band of Joy" received good reviews.

Yeah, Heart's openly been hugely influenced by Zep - they were doing Stairway covers all the way back in their 70s heyday and modeled a lot of their songs off the Zeppelin style.

Last time they were in town, they closed their show with Misty Mountain Hop and absolutely crushed it.

I think the only thing that dings the embedded vid performance is the guitarist didn't do a very impressive job on the solo, kind of a must when you tackle this song. One guy that absolutely nails it is Tim Reynolds (also a Zep fanatic).

Noobs. This is the definitive cover of Stairway.

Fair enough. I just don't think anything that sounds "similar" to the original is all that great (i.e., just playing it back with a different band). Taking a tune and changing it into something new, while retaining the original intent is, in my opinion, a great cover.
